We have a busy fall ahead with Kayven’s Helping Hands, and we could use some extra hands!

We are looking for volunteers to help with upcoming events and projects, including our Pokémon Tournament, Bingo event, Kick A Thon, Kayven’s Care Kits, EEG Hat testing Care Kits, Books and more.

We created one simple Google Form where you can let us know what you may be interested in helping with. Filling it out does not commit you to anything. It just helps us know who to contact as opportunities come up.

Arena Hobbies , 200 N. Baltimore Ave., will host an official Pokémon Play! Tournament fundraiser benefiting local nonprofit Kaynen’s Helping Hands on Sept. 20, starting promptly at 2 p.m.

A huge thank you to Derby Nutrition for supporting our Pokémon Tournament!

Derby Nutrition will be joining us Sunday, September 20 from 2 PM to 4 PM serving up special Pokémon themed drinks! Even better, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to Kayven’s Helping Hands to support our programs.

Doors open at 1 PM with:
• Hot dogs and snacks served by our local Scouts
• Pikachu pictures with Party Rockerz
• Pokémon themed temporary tattoos with Appendage Tattoo
• Pokémon and Epilepsy Awareness shirts from Kayven’s Helping Hands
• Door prize sign up for TWO $25 Waffle Bus gift cards

The tournament starts at 2 PM and will run until approximately 5 PM.

You do not have to be playing in the tournament to join the fun! Stop by anytime that afternoon, grab a special Pokémon drink from Derby Nutrition, cheer on our trainers, and support Kayven’s Helping Hands!

Steven and I recently had the opportunity to speak on the Wichita Life Podcast!

We shared Kayven’s story, how Kayven’s Helping Hands began, and the work we are doing in his memory. We also talked about epilepsy awareness and advocacy are so important to our family.
