How often would you put fun and exercise in the same sentence? Try rebounding and you just might start to.
Have you ever jumped or wanted to and never did? My first try was in September and it was instant "YES" . After my second time rebounding I ordered four trampolines for my class. I do have the handlebar set up on three of them and a bar for the fourth. We are all learning technique and loving the shorter more intense cardio than on the floor. It's an effetive tool for core and strength as well.
If you have one and don't use it, you might want to dust it off and start with some gentle pressing without leaving the mat for as long as you are able. Find some short beginner workouts on You Tube.
If you have one you don't use and would like to let it go, let me know.

It really is possible for most of us to achieve a happier healthier body πββοΈ naturally at any age.
Whether you have some type of bariatric surgery π or you opt for shots πto finally reach your weight or fitness goals you must change some of your regular habits to be successful.
It's the same if you want to go the natural route. Start making some of these small changes, making your mini goal to stick with the change in habit rather than the end goal. As you conquer each change of habit you are steps π£π£π£ closer to where you want to be.
Forget about "instant". Patience is your best friend. Consistently show up for yourself.
You may not want to, but you need to take before photos πΈ. Make some changes and take more pictures in two to three months. Collage them and see the difference π‘!!

It has been a great summer with some fantastic ladies. I look forward to seeing you all again in late May or first of June.

If you want to get wet after work on Tuesday or Thursday you will have to find a different place to splash until late May or early June.

The water was refreshingly cool on Tuesday. Once moving we quickly warmed up. Let's take advantage of every available day that Mother Nature allows us to make a splash.
WEEKDAY CLASSES EXTENDED THROUGH AUGUST!!!
For the first time since I have been teaching at West Park Pool in DeRidder lifeguards are available through August. Therefore Tuesday and Thursday 5:30 PM class will continue through the month!
This has been a very fun summer to teach a great variety of personalities and bodies. They have splashed and pushed through everything given to them and have had fun doing it.

Combination of Yoga, Pilates and mobility (joint range of motion) poses and exercises.
Everything is adaptable to any level of fitness/wellness by using a chair or the wall.
Great for stress relief and improved sleep.
This was day one 2025, June 3. We are for sure having class today. I don't know what the weather may bring Thursday, so you better get to the pool at 5:30 PM.

Wow! I came across the October photo looking for something else today. So I decided to do a comparison to now. I surprised myself. This is the result! I had not realized how far I have come since making a focused effort last year to build muscle and get stronger in an effort to reverse osteopena (next stage osteoporosis).
You don't have to use a Gym. I don't. Dumbbells, kettlebells, leg loop bands, 7' loop rubberband, 7" round sliders, large exercise balls, 7-9" Pilates ball, 4' weighted bars, handled tubing, 13" inflated disc and 6" half dome pods for balance.
I use step benches, chairs and the wall.
You just have to realize you are worth the time and effort it will take to get there. Consistent movement is what will bring about results.

Class felt so good this morning! This was a first for me to start class with light rain off and on, to a heavier rain on occasion, back to a light sprinkle. I never even got in the pool. We all just enjoyed being in the water and the rain on our heads. Fortunately we made it to the midway mark before thunder made a presence. (Safety requires waiting 30 minutes with no more thunder to get back in.) We ended on an exercise high wanting more but happy to get in what we did.
Next class is Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Check back here before class if the weather is questionable.
