BEAUREGARD BARK PARK FUNDRAISER

🐾🏛️🐶 Register Your Dog for the City of DeRidder's Dog Mayor Contest! 🗳️❤️ Help raise funds for improvements at the Dog Park!

Think your pooch has what it takes to become the Dog Mayor of DeRidder? Now is your chance to put them on the ballot! The City of DeRidder is inviting dog parents to register their dogs for this exciting community fundraiser benefiting the Beauregard Bark Park!

Election Timeline

SEPTEMBER | Register your dog candidate!: Submit your dog’s photo and their "campaign platform" (Why do they deserve to lead?)

OCTOBER | Voting - The Main Election: It’s time to hit the pavement! Friends, family, and neighbors can cast their votes ($1 per vote).

NOV. 2 | Official Press Conference: We will host a formal announcement naming the winner and the official "swearing in" our new Dog Mayor. The term will be January 2027 to December 2027.

WHAT DOES THE WINNER GET?
The Dog Mayor will represent the City of DeRidder in at least two parades, at ribbon cuttings and other community events, and will receive an official "Mayor Portrait."

THE TOP 12 DOGS
Will be featured in a 2027 Calendar, which will be available to the public for purchase.

HOW IT WORKS
Once registration closes, the community will cast their votes by making donations in support of their favorite candidate. Every $1 donated equals one vote, and every dollar raised goes directly to support the Beauregard Bark Park. It’s a fun, friendly competition that celebrates our community’s love for dogs while funding much-needed improvements at the Dog Park for everyone's benefit and enjoyment.

Dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Upload proof with registration.

The City of DeRidder - City Hall, Barrel Up Sports and USFA Softball has partnered up and brought a tournament here to DeRidder West Park and we’re so excited to finally have a tournament here at home!!

Our girls have been putting the work in and now it’s time to show it off on the field💪🏽 Come out and support our girls and our city this weekend!

In-between games, if you have time, go check out some of our local shops around town! If you don’t snag some yummy ball park food from our concession stand, visit one of our local restaurants! Remember to shop small🤍

Please whisper a prayer for our girls, our coaches, and our parents as we venture off into a new age group. Please whisper a prayer for our tournament directors, our city officials and our umpires that everything runs in their favor as we kick off this new season! Please pray for all the teams this weekend that they have the strength to get through this heat and they are safe traveling to and from🙏🏼
