VOX POPULI: Asking all my friends and colleagues to take a look at the "In The Deep Trailer" on the People's Telly competition site at https://lnkd.in/eCJUZsp - and rate it "In The Deep" is a short film created by Chris Lopez, one of the most promising participants in our Liberty Film Group Stepping Stone mentorship program. The short will be released this spring and headed for the festival circuit. Chris's feature film, "Final Act" is in development at Liberty. The script was a finalist at this year's Cinequest Film Festival.

We kicked off the new year with a three camera shoot for an e-learning course, and some serious use of our snowblower. A 4WD truck is also a handy thing to have. So far, 29” of snow with more on the way. Fran improvised a snow gauge from an Eiffel Tower prop and a skewer, and we did a time lapse video of the accumulating snow. It was a minor hit on facebook.

Congrats to Christopher Lopez, one of the young hispanic NY film-makers from Liberty Film’s Stepping Stone Program. His script, Final Act, was selected as a finalist from a field of 700 at the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition. He is headed to San Jose, CA for the final phase. His short film, “In The Deep”, is in post-production. a/t media did the production support . Liberty Film Group produced.

The live webcast we did for one of our oldest clients was a success. Our first project together was distributed on VHS. Progress.

The German animation project Dave was working on has finally wrapped up. Kudos to Dave for his very long attention span..

Andrei is splitting his time between NH and NY, where he helps develop projects for Liberty Films and mentor the film makers in the Stepping Stone Program. He is also waiting to hear about a winter project in the tropics.

The projects we shot in NYC over the summer are winding their way through post-production. The Spanish language video for Cengage was probably one of the more complex schedules we attempted - 28 characters and content for 4 different product lines. Sabrina Aviles produced, Andrei DPd and Ana Stojanovic was the AD and overall content person.

Just shot the final scenes for “In The Deep” a short film by Christopher Lopez, a young hispanic NY film-maker. a/t media did the production support for our sister company, Liberty Film Group, who produced. Welten, the German project we shot in Munich last summer is now been officially released to very good reviews. Margaret von Schiller ran the production with her usual aplomb. She has recently added another award for her work in film to her shelf.

Dave Waldman has his hands full with an animation project and the final post of our Spanish project.

Brief trip to Vermont to test software we wrote for a maker of specialized robots.

We spend this time of the year in post-production, and we are happy to have “inside work” for a change. The temperature outside is cold enough to turn normal lubricants to paste and freeze lenses in mid-zoom.

Our fall Boston - Montreal - Quebec - Munich - Zürich - Geneva - Grenoble - Lyon - Valence - Zürich - Munich marathon is now neatly packaged in 2 minute video modules and ready for upload. Tip of the hat to Sabrina Aviles, Ana Stojanovic and our production support teams in France and Canada, who helped us make another “90-day-from-script-to-screen” deadline.

The German project we shot in Munich this summer had a sneak preview at ACTFL. Margaret von Schiller ran the production with her usual aplomb, Andrei directed and shot. Andrei’s son Ely, who is studying German in school, earned brownie points as a PA.
