Through our Scarlets Basketball Club, Inc, we're inviting family, friends, alumni, and community supporters to help create opportunities for the next generation of East Side athletes.

The cost to support student athletes in the program can average between 250-500$, but every contribution makes a difference.

On behalf of the East High Girls Basketball program, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, players, and entire Roosevelt basketball community on the passing of Coach Vincent Hanna.

Coach Hanna’s impact reached far beyond wins and losses. He was a mentor, leader, and role model who invested his time, energy, and heart into the young people he served. His dedication to the game and to the development of student-athletes will leave a lasting legacy within the Roosevelt program and throughout the Des Moines basketball community.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone whose lives were touched by Coach Hanna. May you find comfort in the memories he created, the lives he influenced, and the example he set.

Rest in peace, Coach Hanna. Your legacy will continue to live on through the countless players, coaches, and families you inspired.

🏀 Scarlet Club Basketball Starts April 21! 🏀

We’re excited to announce our participation in Scarlet Club Basketball, our Co-Ed Youth Basketball Program for 3rd–8th graders, starting Monday, April 21 at 6:00 PM at East High School!

We’re especially excited to partner with our boys basketball program to provide a shared opportunity for young athletes to develop skills, build confidence, and grow in the game together.
