🇺🇸 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🇺🇸 #USA Muaythai is making an amazing adjustment to our youth competition calendar. Starting in 2027, the USA Muaythai Youth National Championships will move from March to June. The reason is simple. Youth athletes currently qualify in March but don’t compete at the IFMA Youth World Championships until the end of the year. Over those months, young athletes grow, change weight classes, and often shift out of the division they qualified in. Moving Nationals to June places it much closer to Worlds and reduces that gap. The 2027 Youth National Championships will be held at the TBA Muaythai Classic in Iowa, the longest-running martial arts tournament in the country, drawing thousands of athletes each year. It will serve as the single qualifying event for elite youth athletes seeking a place on the Team USA Muaythai youth roster. Hosting Nationals within the TBA Classic also streamlines the process for coaches and teams already attending, and creates a more direct path for those advancing to IFMA Worlds. Man, what a performance from Amaré.

He fought hard from the opening bell, kept the pressure on, and proved once again that he belongs in that ring.

Big respect to his opponent and his team. Every matchup at this tournament was a challenge, and this one was no different.

What I appreciate most about Amaré, though, has very little to do with fighting.

He’s a leader around the academy. He’s someone the younger kids look up to, and he’s the same person at school and in every other area of life.

Talented, humble, and hardworking.

He’s the kind of young man every coach hopes to have in their program.

Really proud of him.

👊 Two-Piece Elise 👊

What a battle.

Huge props to our opponent and her team. We thought the fight might be over after the eight count in round one, but she came back firing and made this a phenomenal matchup.

As for Elise, she did exactly what we asked her to do. She trusted her boxing, listened in the corner, and showcased exactly what that Waffle House style is all about.

But here’s the coolest part.

Over the last year, we’ve watched her grow into so much more than a competitor.

She’s become a role model, a leader, and someone the younger kids genuinely love being around.

Around here, she’s Coach Chicken.

That might be my favorite title she has.

I’m incredibly proud of the athlete she’s becoming, but I’m even more proud of the person she’s becoming.

That’s what we’re really building here.
