If your RV has a Suburban water heater replace the anode rod at least once a year.

The photo shows a new anode rod compared to one completely used, all that is left is the wire core.

This tank had a lot of sediment buildup from not replacing the anode periodically. Typically when the old anode is removed the water gushes out, this unit the water dribbled out.

We’ve returned from winter in Arizona and will be in Iowa through October
