I'm sharing some pertinent astrology for today, 5-12-24:

Sun, May 12th: This is a day for honoring Mothers: the mother who gave birth to you, your own mothering journey or Mother Earth who gives you life and sustenance. There is appropriate astrology today for appreciating the nurturing qualities of motherhood with the Cancer Moon sextile to Ta**us Venus and trine to Saturn in the early hours. Lots of loving support. Lunar sextiles to the Ta**us Sun and Uranus in the afternoon offer opportunities for playful activities, good food and stimulating conversation. Near midnight CDT a lunar sextile to Jupiter and a square to Mercury is a very stimulating influence which makes it hard to say good night.

TA**US ~ April 20 through May 21

Stable, solid and earthy, yet ruled by feminine Venus. Who is level headed, practical, and great with money? Which SUN sign of the zodiac 12 would you guess I'm describing? Ta**us it is! The sign of the bull runs from approximately April 20 to May 21.

Ta**us is the 2nd sign of the zodiac. Ta**us is an EARTH sign (the other EARTH signs are Virgo and Capricorn) and is a solid, stable sign. Ta**us is highly identified with nature. A natural example of a Taurean is a farmer or a gardener who actually gets their hands in the dirt and feels the earth or animals, that acutely attunes and grounds them. Indeed, any of us that are trying to ground or calm can take a tip from the Taurean and spend time with nature.Nature is the Taurean’s spiritual playground.

A nature walk in the forest, near a lake or stream, enjoying the sun or even the rain will be near spiritual or meditative bliss for a Taurean. Spending cuddling time with a dog or pet for some tactile snuggling will stir innate nature as well as tactile and sensual feelings. These earth elements are a natural part of the Taurean. Building and construction and their design are also areas to which Ta**us gravitates.

As an EARTH sign the Ta**us roots run deep, family/clan is the center of the Taurean's life. Ta**us is nurturing and responsible and extremely loyal. Their family will come first in their life. Family ancestry and history is important to them. This is an area of great pride.

Ta**us is ruled by the beautiful goddess Venus. Ta**us reveres beauty. Certainly the beauty of nature, but Ta**us loves beautiful and fine things, as well, whether it is art or fine clothes or even linens. Taureans like to have the best of everything. Ta**us likes creature comforts: good food, good wine and wants to possess those things as well. Their motto is, "I own". They may be a devotee of the beauty of the arts as an artist, writer or actor. Taureans are quite creative. They might find themselves a collector, curator or regular attendee and supporter of the arts.

Ta**us may be a slow starter, even lazy at times. However, once they get started they are steady and persistent. They must be motivated in anything they take on. Plus, for a Taurean, work, plans or projects must be practical, logical and sensible. Good luck talking them into anything they don't see any point to or to which they don't take an interest. However, once they are committed, their determination for success is one of their strengths. Even better, if at the end of the work there is a reward, they love it - and the more indulgent the bonus, the better.

Usually conservative, Taureans like to play it safe and value security, although, they are generally very good with money. Careers that put the Taurean in that arena that they find appealing are in financial planning, insurance and investment.
The bull is the sign of Ta**us and the Taurean is physically powerful and strong, as well as, mentally quick. The bull also represents their tendency to stand their ground and be dominant. As a fixed sign, they can easily become stubborn, dig in and are known to be "bull" headed. Ta**us is acutely observant and astute, easily recalling details, so fare well in many negotiations or arguments.

Taureans are generally attractive and agile. They can be very generous, romantic and charming. Extremely sensory oriented: vision, hearing, smell and tactile, they relish sensual pleasures. They are usually very conscious of and appreciative of their body and it's indulgences. They prefer harmony in all situations, and are slow to anger. But, they do like having their own way and can be very possessive. Ta**us is known to be trustworthy.

Ta**us is basically simplistic and likes to get to the heart of the matter, to the bottom line. They are looking for the priority, the simplicity of truth.

Ta**us is at home in quiet and solitude. However, Ta**us must find periods of meditative time in nature to bring this earthy soul real peace.

ARIES ~ March 21 to April 20

The symbol of Aries is the Ram. MARS is the ruling planet, large, commanding in it’s bold leader, warrior characteristics. Aries glyph is in the left hand corner, representing the horn of the Ram. The red spectrum of colors are the fiery, flammable colors of Aries. Aries means Ram in Latin. The Ram is a bold stalwart animal, determined but stubborn at times.

Red is Aries' color and its’ brash and brilliant spectrum captures much of the sign's fiery nature. Aries blazes in at the Spring equinox - the birth of the new season and the Zodiac. The SUN sign Arians are born on or about March 21 to April 20.

Aries is one of 3 Fire signs (along with Leo and Sagittarius) and is ruled by the energetic and commanding "Red Planet" MARS. Aries energy is masculine: very direct and outward focused. Aries is a cardinal sign (along with Libra and Cancer) and functions by initiating or instigating. As action people, they love to get things going or started, the dawning of a new day can be pure joy to them. Aries are the pioneers of the Zodiac.

Aries' motto is "I am". Aries is a self centered sign. It is the first sign of the zodiac, in the first house and it is about identity, "me". "What do I want", "what is best for me", "what will work for me" is Aries initial come from. They tend to want to shove themselves to the forefront, sometimes appearing selfish.Their polar opposite, in the astrological chart, is Libra, the sign of the other or the partner. Every sign learns from its' polar opposite in life and is drawn to that sign to learn its' lessons. Aries must learn to consider others besides themselves and learn to listen, in order to become a successful friend, partner and team player.

From MARS, Aries ruler, the Roman mythological "God of War" (or Ares the Greek "God of War"), Aries brings the warrior archetype. Brave, courageous and ready for action. Aries are very strong willed quick, even hasty decision makers. Commander and leader feels natural to them. However, this innate power and raw energy can feel intimidating and pushy to some. In order for goals and leadership to be realized, Aries need to slow down, take time for planning and discernment, polish communication skills and temper their energy. Their proactive assertion is valued, but it must be honed to a palatable level. Certainly Aries passion and motivation is contagious. However, lack of discipline, commitment and long term follow-up is not their strong suit and will take some effort.

Aries can be impulsive and harsh. Their fiery temperament can progress to anger and volatility when out of control. This behavior can lead to recklessness and injury. Impulsivity could lead to overspending. Balance, again a Libra trait, is one from which Aries would benefit in those circumstances. In addition, a regular regimen of relaxation or meditation will offset their vigorous energy and would be a health bonus.

Aries is industrious, generous, loyal, practical, exciting and adventurous. Competitive and even boastful, Aries love playing games. They often are gifted with charm and charisma. They will not leave anyone bored, surely, not themselves. But, their penchant for impulsive enthusiasm and challenge can push them over the edge.

Aries are very active and exert energy, strength and stamina. Their susceptibilities are to disorders of the head, stomach and kidneys from poor eating, work stress, health practices and injuries from intense activity or competitive activities and sports.
