Our committee takes on various activities that are geared to raising awareness of working women's issues and increasing female activism in our union.
WOS is a grassrots based structure that builds a platform for working class women. The structure allows WOS to reach back beyond the front-line activists and bring forth other activists-that may not have participated in the Union before.

Last week, Tiffany Allison of Soaring Hearts Foundation joined us during our WOS committee meeting to accept a check for $2050. The money was raised during our Ladies Night fundraiser in May, and will help Soaring Hearts continue their work advocating for victims of domestic violence and other violent crime. We would like to thank anyone who participated in the fundraiser, and also thank Tiffany for the difficult work she does.

Winners of the booze baskets were drawn at Ladies Night, and the last was picked up today. Don Ritter won the Peach Panic basket, Greg Fox the Barntown Sours, and Maggie Campos won two baskets- the margarita and the Moscow Mule, but she got away without a picture. Congrats tot he winners and thanks to all who supported the fundraiser!
Another successful Ladies’ Night is in the books! Thank you for all who attended, donated, bought tickets for baskets, or participated in any other way!
