For players who would like to continue play beyond our recreational league, De Soto Youth Soccer is pleased to offer club/select travel teams. Please read the divisional information carefully below for all the details.
7/8 players MUST be signed up for the training session BY Monday, September 21, at 12 pm/noon at www.desotomosoccer.org to be considered for the tryouts. All tryout details by division are below.
K, 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 players MUST be signed up for the training session BY Monday, September 28, at 12pm/noon, at www.desotomosoccer.org to be considered for the tryouts. All tryout details by division are below.
Checklist to be considered for a club/select team:
1. Make sure your player has participated in our recreational soccer league within the past year (Fall 2025, Spring 2026, or current Fall 2026) in order to be eligible to tryout.
2. Confirm your player can attend the following tournaments. If unable to attend all of them, please discuss with your coach at tryouts.
--10/16, 10/17 & 10/18 – Perryville, MO
--10/24 & 10/25 – Jackson, MO
--11/7 & 11/8 – Cape Girardeau, MO
3. Register your player for free at www.desotomosoccer.org for “2026 Fall Club Training” so we have their information to contact after tryouts.
4. Once your player is registered, he/she must attend at least one of the upcoming tryouts as outlined below for their respective division or make contact with the coach ahead of tryouts for consideration – we strongly suggest attending both tryouts if at all possibly.
5. Be on the lookout for email notifications, which will be sent by dates indicated in your players respective division below. All players will be notified either way. Even if your player is not selected to be on the traveling team or elects not to attend the tournaments, they are invited to participate in training activities.
For players who are selected to play on the club/select tournament team(s):
1. Review the tournament schedule again. If your player cannot attend a tournament, let your coach know immediately. These teams are set with the understanding that all players will be at all these tournaments. A player not being able to attend needs to be addressed quickly with the Coach to ensure that the team will have enough players to play in the tournament. All players will be required to pay for all 3 tournaments regardless of if they will attend or not. **Some teams might have games on Friday evenings depending on the number of teams that register for tournaments. We usually get the schedule on Wednesdays before the tournament starts.
2. By the date indicated on your player respective division below, your player will receive a special email to register for their tournament team again at www.desotomosoccer.org with a special code.
3. All fees must be paid by Sunday, October 4, to ensure jerseys are received by the first tournament. (If you need to make payment arrangements, please reach out to us!)
--$115 fee to play (includes $25 registration fee, $30 per tournament)
--$45 jersey fee. We have the same jersey as last season. If your player has one that fits there is no need to purchase a new one.
--$16 orange soccer socks. We have the same socks as last season. If your player has a pair that fits there is no need to purchase a new.
--**There will be additional gear that can be ordered at the time of registration. These are not required to play.
4. Have fun! This experience is designed to be give our players extra training at a more competitive level. Enjoy the experience!
