This is a great example of how hard it is to control somebody without any training. Clearly this is a training environment. It appears the intent of this training is to highlight how hard it can be to control somebody and how you need more training. Training doesn’t stop after your academy, just like you should be studying the most current case law from in-service training - you should be on the mat. Go train! • @tomdeblass First of all. All the credit to these officer’s for training in order to make their weaknesses stronger. Now, let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about how two adults can not hold one man down. Clearly, they are new to training. They didn’t do one thing right. There was no leg control, no wrist control, and no hip control. Everything was wrong. I am thankful to know they will learn their mistakes. The scary thing is that all the officers who are not training would make the same exact mistakes in live situations and dangerous situations. Training is not an extra. If you’re an officer, training is something you must do I am proud of my @nypdbjj boys putting in that work and my law enforcement students putting in that work. 💪
