Yesterday’s track rental was a huge success! Samuel Peterson had the surface at US-131 absolutely lit, even when we saw track temps eclipsing 130* later in the day. Thanks for working your ass off to give us something predictable and safe to play on buddy! Although we have some quirks going on in the background, our staging technique seems to be working, and we have finally found repeatable data that is translating to the time slip. The information gained and lessons learned from this outing is what we’ve been looking for since this combo was put together. The new best of 8.05 @ over 175 was just an added bonus 🫶🏼 In our attempt to grab that 7-second pass, the ring and pinion said “I’m tired boss” on the 1-2 shift and finally threw the towel in. She’s been talking for awhile, so maybe next time I’ll do a better job at listening. The car was on its way to at least backing up the 8.05 pass on that lick too so it would’ve been cool to see that one through, but we’ll be back to try again in a few weeks hopefully! The home team has been super supportive, but yesterday Taylor Cole Baker wins the MVP award. His advice and finally getting me out of my conservative mindset is really what allowed us to see the progress yesterday.
