Motown's Strongest

We want to give a proper shoutout to the crew that volunteered at Motown’s Strongest III and made it such an unforgettable experience for every athlete.

These are the people who gave up their time, purely out of the love for the sport, to make this all happen. Your weight loaders, scribes, judges, scorekeepers, and athlete handlers… the ones behind the scenes who keep everything running smoothly.

They helped us move over 10,000 pounds of equipment from the gym to the venue… and then did it all over again to tear it down.

And they did it all with energy, positivity, and a smile the entire time.

Honestly, we’re a little gutted we didn’t get a proper group shot or give you all the shoutout you deserved on the mic—you earned that and more.

This sport doesn’t exist without people like you.

So when you see a strongman volunteer out in the wild… make sure you thank them for their service 😉

Reminder: Proof of your Strongman Corporation membership is REQUIRED at weigh-ins.
We’ve noticed a few athletes still need to register — don’t wait until the last minute.

Friday: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM & 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM (at the Majestic Theater)

WEIGHT CUTTING / RECOVERY OPTION

Athletes who are cutting weight will have access to the Schvitz Bathhouse:

• Thursday (Tonight): Men only
• Friday morning: Available if needed

If you’d like access, reach out to us directly and we’ll get you set up.

Parking note: There is limited parking behind the Majestic Theatre for $10, and it will fill up quickly. There are plenty of nearby lots and street parking options, so plan ahead and give yourself a little extra time.

Weigh-ins reminder: We’ll have fee-free admission tickets available at weigh-ins tomorrow, so be sure to grab yours. More weigh-in details coming shortly, so keep an eye out!

Motown’s Strongest is going down inside one of Detroit’s most iconic entertainment spots — the Majestic Theatre, right in the heart of the legendary The Majestic Complex.

We’ll be throwing down in the Majestic Theatre, but once you step outside the competition space there’s a whole lot more waiting for you. On the other side of the complex you’ll find the legendary Garden Bowl where you can roll a few games, grab drinks at the bar, and crush some slices from Sgt. Pepperoni’s.

The Midtown neighborhood is also packed with great spots to grab coffee or a bite before or after the show, including local favorites like Avalon Café and Bakery, Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, and Supino Pizzeria.

And if you want the perfect way to wrap up your day in the city, the Detroit Red Wings are playing that night (3/21) at Little Caesars Arena — a classic Detroit way to finish the day.

What a whirlwind of a show! We’re a little late in sharing this, but after some much-needed time to rest and recharge, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made Motown’s Strongest possible.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such an amazing strongman community right here in Metro Detroit. The support we received—from equipment fabrication and event testing, to planning, loading, setup, teardown, and all the day-of chaos—was nothing short of incredible.

Our volunteers were top-notch and truly helped create the electric atmosphere that made the event so special. We couldn’t have done it without you.

There aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are for each and every one of you. Thank you for being a part of this with us.
