Thank you to everyone who joined us for Parent Orientation Night!

It was great to see so many new and returning families and to have all of our coaches on hand to meet everyone. The excitement for the upcoming season is definitely building.

With less than one week until sailing begins, our coaches report tomorrow to kick off setup week and will be hard at work preparing the boats, facilities, and program for a fantastic summer.

We’re excited to welcome Jess Gula to Team Bayview🎉

Jess is currently earning her Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Oakland University, bringing a strong foundation in education and a passion for working with young learners.

She previously taught sailing with North Star Junior Sailing and the Detroit Yacht Club, and is returning to sailing instruction after several years away. We’re thrilled to have her experience, enthusiasm, and teaching background back on the water.

🚀 Welcome Back, Sergei Lie!

We’re excited to welcome Sergei Lie back for his second year as Program Manager at Bayview Junior Sailing! 🎉

A Bayview Junior Sailing alum, Sergei brings over 25 years of coaching experience, a strong background in education, and a lifelong passion for developing young sailors. After a successful first season leading the program, he returns with even deeper insight into our sailors, coaches, and the culture that makes Team Bayview special.

Welcome back, Tobías Cédola, to Team Bayview! 🇦🇷⛵️

Originally from Argentina, Tobías returns to the team once again, bringing great energy and a unique perspective to the program. In addition to his work on the water, he produced our fantastic highlight video last summer, capturing the spirit of Bayview Yacht Club Junior Sailors, Inc.

We’re excited to have Tobías back for another season and look forward to more great moments—on and off the water! 👏

Welcome back, Evelyn Young, to Team Bayview!⛵️

Evelyn is returning for her third summer on our coaching staff and is a true Bayview product, having grown up sailing in our program. Her familiarity with the club and firsthand experience make her a great role model for our sailors.

Now attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Evelyn continues to build on the strong foundation she developed at Bayview. We’re excited to have her back on the team and look forward to another great summer on the water! 👏

We are excited to welcome Mallory Dieball to Team Bayview! ⛵️

Mallory is currently attending The Ohio State University and brings her experience from her time as a sailing instructor at Sheridan Shore Sailing School just outside of Chicago. There, she worked with sailors of all skill levels.

She’s looking forward to working with our Learn to Sail group and our youngest sailors this summer. Her positive attitude and passion for teaching make her a great fit for the program.
