The 2026 I Ran the D 5K is taking place today starting at 8:30AM with waves releasing every 10 minutes. The race begins at Comerica Park - Big Tiger (west side).

We are 1️⃣0️⃣ days away from our favorite day of the year!

‘I Ran the D’ celebrates Detroit as a top-tier sports destination, bringing together passionate Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers fans!

This year is extra special as proceeds from the race will directly fund the Detroit Sports Commission Living Legacy Initiative, which has infused more than $1.5 million into the local community to support youth literacy in Detroit and active play in the local region, including programs promoting girls’ sports.

So let’s go Detroit sports fans! 💪

This 5k weaves its way through downtown Detroit’s most famous landmarks, starting at Comerica Park, winding through the historic streets of Brush Park, and past Ford Field, before finishing back at Comerica Park, where runners can take a victory lap inside the ballpark around the outfield wall.
