🇪🇸⚽ First stop!
Spain: Where Your Team’s Football Dreams Meet Iconic Moments

Imagine your players training on grounds used by famous professionals, stepping inside iconic stadiums, and taking the field against teams from another country—all while experiencing Spain alongside their teammates and families.

There are two exciting ways to build your team’s adventure:

⚽ The Soccer Tour
An experience combining professional coaching sessions, friendly matches against local teams, and cultural discovery. Depending on your itinerary, your team could train at iconic facilities used by professional players, explore stadiums they’ve grown up watching on television, and attend a professional match when schedules and ticket availability allow.

Between soccer experiences, discover the cities, beaches, food, history, and everyday moments that make traveling together so memorable.

🏆 The Tournament Experience
Take your team into the excitement of international tournament competition! Build an adventure around tournament play, with opportunities to add professional training, stadium tours, sightseeing, and time for families to enjoy the destination together.

It’s a chance to challenge your players, meet teams from different backgrounds, and share the pride of representing their club abroad.

🌎 Built Around Your Team
These are customizable itineraries. Whether your group prefers a relaxed trip focused on local life and culture or a more luxurious experience, we can explore accommodations, activities, and a pace that fit your vision.

Packages can bring the major pieces together:
🏨 Accommodations
🍽️ Most meals
🚌 Ground transportation
⚽ Included training, match arrangements, or tournament fees
🏟️ Stadium tours and scheduled sightseeing

Exact inclusions depend on the package, with flights and personal expenses generally separate. Professional match tickets and special training experiences are confirmed for your specific itinerary.

As a soccer parent and travel advisor, I love the opportunity to create something meaningful for the whole traveling group—players, coaches, parents, and siblings. 💚

📩 Coaches, club organizers, and team parents: message Wildflower Horizons Travel, and let’s explore Spain for your team!

✨ FESTIVE JOURNEYS WORTH EXPERIENCING | DAY 4

🇸🇮🍷 SLOVENIA | ST. MARTIN'S DAY

What if I told you there's a celebration where grape juice officially becomes W**E? 🍇😂

Welcome to Martinovanje, Slovenia's beloved St. Martin's celebration!

Every November, Slovenian w**e regions celebrate the end of the grape-growing season and the symbolic transformation of grape must into young w**e.

But this isn't simply a w**e-tasting event.

🍷 MARIBOR — Discover festive celebrations, traditional music, local w**es, and the city that's home to the world's oldest recorded grapevine.

🍂 SLOVENIAN W**E COUNTRY — Explore picturesque vineyards, family w**eries, and autumn landscapes while learning about centuries-old w**emaking traditions.

🍽️ LOCAL FLAVORS — Enjoy traditional seasonal dishes, often including roast goose, red cabbage, and mlinci, alongside regional w**es.

What I love most is that this celebration isn't about extravagant attractions.

It's about community, harvest, tradition, and the joy of sharing what the land has produced. 🌿

And sometimes, those are the most meaningful travel experiences of all.

✈️ Already have this holiday season planned?

Save this one for next November! Imagine building an autumn journey through Slovenia around its w**e country, beautiful villages, and local celebrations.

I'd love to help you experience it through the people and traditions that make it special.

Dove Numbers Reach Record Highs

3 dove hunters aim in sunflower field
Elevated rainfall in Texas has been a boon for doves. This is the third year in a row for record or near-record highs in their numbers, including the highest estimates ever for white-winged doves. This is not a season to sit out!

The South Zone experienced massive jumps in the number of both white-winged and mourning doves. This coincides with this season's historic Sept. 1 dove season start date for the South Zone – Special White Wing Dove Days and special bag limits are no longer necessary.

All zones open Sept. 1. The daily bag limit in all zones is 15, with no more than 2 white-tipped doves.

To hunt dove, you'll need a hunting license, a Migratory Game Bird Endorsement and free HIP certification. Anyone born after 9/1/71 must complete hunter education. Look over the Dove Season Checklist before you head out. While you wait for Sept. 1, read our Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine story Dawn of the Dove Hunter.

Hello,

Hunting season is right around the corner, and now is the perfect time to start preparing. Whether you’re a first-time hunter or returning for another year in the field, a little planning can go a long way toward ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and successful season.

Why Hunt?

Hunting provides meaningful opportunities to connect with nature, support conservation efforts, spend quality time outdoors, and harvest your own food. Many Texas hunters also enjoy the challenge, tradition, and sense of stewardship that comes with participating in regulated wildlife management.

Species of Opportunity in Texas

As you prepare, consider which species you’d like to pursue. Texas offers a variety of hunting opportunities, including:

White-tailed Deer
Dove
Duck
Turkey
Javelina
Non-game animals

Recommended Equipment Having the right equipment is essential for safety and success. Below are a few basic gear recommendations by species:

Deer Hunting

R***e or bow
Am******on or broadheads
Quality optics (binoculars, rangefinder)
Scent elimination spray
Durable, layered clothing appropriate for changing weather

Dove Hunting

12 or 20gauge sh***un
#7.5–9 target loads
Lightweight stool or bucket
Camouflage clothing
Spinning-wing decoy (e.g., Mojo)
Hearing and eye protection
Cooler with water and space for harvested birds
Bird hunting vest or belt
Hunting license and required stamps
dove

Duck Hunting

12 or 20gauge sh***un
Appropriate shotshell loads
Waders or waterproof gear
Decoys and calls
Weather appropriate camouflage

Hunter Education

Before you head into the field, remember that a Hunter Education Course is required for most hunters. This course covers essential topics, including fi***rm safety, hunting ethics, wildlife identification, and Texas regulations. Completing it is one of the best ways to ensure you are prepared and confident.
