Ag Science 1 had a fun-filled day on Friday! Students toured the Neosho National Fish Hatchery for a behind-the-scenes look before heading to Crowder College for the Greenhand Conference!

At the conference, our students got to mingle with other Ag Science 1 students, meet and talk with Area and State FFA Officers, and learn more about what FFA has to offer. We’re especially proud of our own Cheyenne, who helped lead the conference as the Area 11 Chaplain! 💙💛

What a great day of learning, leadership, and making new FFA connections! 🌱

What an incredible past 3 days on the MoBio Tour!

Our students had the opportunity to visit universities, research centers, and industry-leading companies to learn about the many careers available in agriculture, science, and biotechnology.

Throughout the trip, students toured MSSU, Missouri S&T, the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, Novus, Bayer, Inotiv, Thermo Fisher, and Pfizer. They explored research labs and greenhouses, learned from scientists and industry professionals, used Anatomage tables for virtual animal dissections, created artwork with colored bacteria, and gained firsthand insight into cutting-edge research and innovation.

Not only did students learn about a wide variety of career opportunities, but they were also able to see how agriculture connects to animal science, plant science, biotechnology, research, and so much more. We even had some fun along the way with a stop at Topgolf!

We are so thankful to MoBio for providing this amazing opportunity. Our students had a blast, learned so much, and returned with a greater appreciation for the endless possibilities available within the agriculture industry and beyond!

Cheyenne, a member of the Diamond FFA Chapter and serving as the Area 11 FFA Chaplain, recently attended the Area 11 Officer Institute. During the event, she worked alongside her fellow area officers to plan and organize activities and events for the upcoming school year. We are excited to see all that Area 11 FFA has in store, and we can't wait to watch Cheyenne and her Area 11 officer team accomplish great things this year! 💙💛

This week was full of so much fun as we took the students who qualified on the end-of-the-year trip to Oklahoma and Texas! We are so grateful for the opportunity to tour some of the most well-known ranches and facilities around.

Our first day started at the National Cowboy Museum and we then grabbed lunch at one of the most famous restaurants around (skip to the last picture if you know, you know!). From there, we headed to Solos Select Genetics in Gainesville, Texas, where students learned about equine breeding, stallion management, and got to see some of the very best horses in the industry. We ended the night with a short walk around the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

Thursday was absolutely jam-packed! We started the day at Outlaw Equine where students toured the facilities and learned about everything they have going on. Outlaw Equine serves as an equine clinic/hospital, rehabilitation center, and stallion management facility, giving students a chance to see many different sides of the equine industry all in one place. We then stopped by the NRS store before hurrying back to the Stockyards to watch the famous cattle drive, did a little shopping, and wrapped up the evening watching the PBR Showcase at the Cowtown Coliseum.

On our way home, we had to make one final stop at Cimarron Trailers where students got to see how trailers are made and learn how different skills can be used across industries they may not always think about.

All in all, it was an amazing trip! These students earned this opportunity through their hard work throughout the year, and we hope they had fun, learned something new, and know just how proud we are of them!
