I am really liking how the osage orange turned out on this chef knife!
Thankful for some success and happy with the field testing of the new knife!
Working on something different for myself. San mai blade with a hamon, wrought iron guard and genuine stingray leather wrapped yew wood handle.
A little more fitting and working for a wrought iron pommel and I should be all set with this classy puukko.
52100 hunting knife with burlax handle .ru turned out pretty slick. Think maybe a kydex scabbard for this one.
This is how my brain works. I’ve got knives to finish, knives to make, and at the moment all I can think of is forging out a new kukri style hunting knife.
A big thank you to and my lifelong bud for a great article and excellent photography!

W2 Canadian belt knife with ram horn handle.
Transformation and done.
Banksia pod make this custom chef knife really pop!
Forged W2 with Thunderstorm Kevlar handle.
Just enough forging marks left for character.
Growing up, the Buck 120 was definitely at the top of my list for most desired knives. Although my approach to a clip point is different, I’m sure the inspiration is the same.
Hollow ground 52100 with some crazy stabilized linden burl from my bud really tops this blade off.
Keeping the knife shop busy!
Always come back to the Nessmuk when I’m adding a blade to my inventory. 52100 paired with ram horn may just be perfection.
They can’t all be pig sticking bowie knives! These diamond blades are almost ready for setting into awl handles I’ve turned on the lathe.
Always surprised at just how much work these little blades require, and no forgiveness for mistakes.
