Venus 🪐
A 4 year old, 14.2hh ish little reservation mustang mare
She’s been in training for about 40 days right now, and if she doesn’t sell first, she’ll finish out September in training too and get some rides on her.
She is currently just about ready for her first ride. Would make a nice little project. She’s a little watchy, but the more I handle her the less of that I’m seeing. She likes work and has enjoyed having something to do. She’s never needed much pressure and she definitely seeks to please.
On the ground, she’s great with:
Feet and trims
Leading
Tying
Saddling
The hose
The flag
Blanketing
Loading and riding in the trailer
Sending - transitions, stops, direction changes, all 3 gaits
Forehand turns
Hindquarter disengagements
Round penning - transitions, stops, direction changes, all 3 gaits
She does well with mares and geldings, has been on pasture and stalled and does fine either way. She’s been around kids, dogs, much bigger horses and mini ponies.
She needs a confident, cool and collected person and just needs more time. If she sits, she can be a little harder to catch, but if you walk out with a treat or two she’ll come up to you and you’ll catch her just fine.
