🚨OPENING AT 11:00 AM TODAY ON HIGH NOON🚨

Only 3 hours until we kick off our 80th season of The Legend. Can you believe it? We would not be here 80 years later without our amazing team who flipped this one on a dime. THANK YOU to our incredibly hard-working staff: snowmakers, patrol, lift maintenance & operators, food & beverage, ski & ride school, guest services, and everyone in between.

It’s going to be filled with powder, Pali laps, Wall hikes, Wingo, Bloody Marys, Beach Days, and all the good stuff. We can’t wait to celebrate it all with you. Wax your boards, tune your skis, and come on up. The Basin will always provide the vibe.

One last thing: We’re certainly ready to go, are you? Get your A-Basin or Ikon Pass for unlimited skiing & riding.

Getting Excited: We had another good night with a low wet bulb temp of 20 F. We are still going strong at 10 AM. All the guns have done well. The tower in the photo below has made an espcially impressive pile of snow on Upper High Noon. I am looking at the weather forecasts, streamflows and pumping rates very closely - doing a lot of math. I am getting excited.

Cooling Off: Temps cooled off a bit last night and we got the snowmaking system going about 10 PM. We managed to keep running until 3 PM today. Tonight we are expecting cooler temps and lower humidity. My guess is that we fire up again sometime after sundown. We should have another good session.
