Give them a mountain to grow into. 🤘 A place to explore, find their crew, and feel like they belong.

Lil Kids Club, Kids Club, and Xtreme Teens give kids ages 3-14 four weekends to build skills and confidence alongside the same small group and instructor each week. And hey, you might even get a few laps to yourself, at least until they eventually start leaving you in their dust. 😉

All child and teen program prices go up on September 15.

Technically, it’s still summer, but we’re not here to talk about that. ⛷️

If you like your skiing frequent but your commitment manageable, grab a 3, 4, or 5-day Midweek or Any Day pack and ski for as little as $60/day and call it planning ahead.

⏰ Any Day and Midweek Pack prices increase after September 15.

Pedalling "Up At Arapahoe": Over the weekend there were a number of riders enjoying all the trails at The Basin. We have a 10ish mile single track loop going from the base area to the summit up the frontside and back down to the base area via the Beavers and a portion of the Lower North Side. There is great riding with easy parking and the 6th Alley Bar and Grill at the end of the ride.

38 F This Morning: This morning the temperature was a cool 38 F at my house. We have officially moved from mid-summer to late summer. A few days ago there was a little bit of white stuff on some of the higher peaks in Summit County. Scattered willows, aspens and cottonwoods are starting to show some yellow leaves. While we still have several weeks of beautiful summer and fall weather to go, the first hints of a season change are in the air.

Shooting Gallery: You know, at The Basin, we have a crazy number of trail names on our maps and signs. On top of that, one can hardly travel more than 100-200' without entering another informally named area. On the East Wall, we use an "Avalauncher" to help with our risk mitigation, shooting projectiles into avalanche starting zones. That piece of equipment is in the center of the open area on this photo. Hence, the informal name here is the "Shooting Gallery."
