New horse spotlight #2 -

Tucker! Tucker has been an awesome, friendly face in our barn. He’s been working hard getting program ready the past few months with our more experienced riders and doing such a great job learning the ropes here at Summerset. One of the more unique colors on the farm, he never ceases to make us smile with how well adjusted, friendly and smart he is. He’s currently here on lease and we hope to see him more integrated into the program soon!

Bits and Bridles is for young children (Ages 5-7) looking to have one of their first experiences with horses. A mini lesson about horses followed by a corresponding craft and activity, time with the horses and a pony ride! Based off our PeeWee Program (Held in the Spring and Fall) - it's a great way to introduce small children to horses in a safe and fun way!

Our Evening Camp on the same day is geared for the older kids (Ages 8-14). A little more involved with a longer lesson, learn the ropes around the barn, spend time with the horses, have an activities and a short ridden lesson. A great introduction to riding and getting to know us and our program.

Meet Ariel - fondly called Roany Pony! She a sweet little roan mare who’s currently in some light training to ensure she understands our program. She’s a safe and (did we mention) CUTE addition to our barn? She’ll soon be making an appearance in the kids program this month. So excited for this little girl to flourish!

Summerset Stables - located in Dillsburg, PA - Is now accepting new students for our Hands on Horsemanship Program! Jump into learning about horses from the ground up! A great opportunity for the horse crazy kid. Low key, low pressure lessons on the ground and in the saddle, our program aims to create the next generation of solid, well-rounded Horsemen and Horsewomen.

My Goodness has it been a busy April! Bridles and Bunnies was beautiful day and lots of fun for the littles. We love giving the community the ability to come meet our staff and horses and have a "first horse encounter"

Bittersweet day today. Mr Brody left for retirement today. He’s done an awful lot in his lifetime- racing, eventing, stadium jumping, dressage and being a lesson horse. His goofy personality will most certainly be missed but he’s ready to enjoy the easy life he deserves back with his mom Tracey. It definitely feels like the end of an era - he’s been here at Summerset for 5years. Stay out of trouble, Pigeon ❤️
