MISSING RING
Message from the owner:
" Would it be possible to put out a note for a lost ring? I have a photo. I know it’s a long shot but miracles do happen sometimes….the ring was diamonds and sapphires on checkerboard formation. It is old. Fell off somewhere between sheepford rd and new Cumberland borough park. Thanks for any help you may be able to give in making this known and who to return the ring to. " -CK

Moderate risk for most of the Breeches.
Also, I received a direct message from someone who lost a ring along the creek. Look for a post on here about it with a picture soon.

Message received:
I want to report two MAJOR strainers found on May 25: One about 200 yards upstream from the PA Turnpike, and the other about one mile downstream from the Dam at Lime Kiln Road. They are dangerous and not passable.

Information from Messiah University:
Due to construction work at the Starry parking lot, access to parking and to the Yellow Breeches at Messiah University will be limited. Beginning on May 10, 2025, with undergraduate commencement ceremonies, the parking lot across the covered bridge will be closed. It is expected that it will reopen by August 20, 2025.
For the public, this limits parking availability, and the covered bridge will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians. Access to the creek will be limited to the Cumberland County side only, with no nearby parking.
We ask all visitors that wish to access the Yellow Breeches to consider other plans. Thank you in advance for respecting Messiah University property.

If you follow this page, I'm hoping that what I'm about to say seems like common sense:
STAY OUT OF THE WATERS THIS WEEKEND!!!
Flood waters are no joke. And even as the waters receed, the creek will be different.
There will be "new" obstacles, with trees and rocks being moved by the high waters. Make good decisions. Stay safe.
