Better late than never! 🥋⏳

Between building a championship wrestling program, expanding the gym, and managing the day-to-day grind, life has been absolutely wide open. Because things have been so incredibly busy around here, we are officially playing catch-up on a massive backlog of well-deserved promotions dating all the way back to April!

The "never-ending work" hasn't stopped, and our students certainly haven't slowed down. It's time to finally give credit where it's due to the massive group of warriors who have leveled up at 144 BJJ over the last few months!

🌟 New Belts on the Mat!
We’ve had some incredible milestones hit since the spring. Earning a new belt takes months of consistency, overcoming plateaus, and showing up even when you don't feel like it. A massive congratulations to all of our students who stepped up into their brand-new ranks! Your growth, technique, and leadership on the mats inspire the whole team.

⚪️ A Mountain of Stripes!
We also had a absolute ton of adults and kids earn new stripes on their belts! Every single piece of tape represents hours of sweat, discipline, and hard work right here in Dinwiddie. Whether it was your very first stripe or the fourth one putting you on notice for your next belt, we see your dedication and we are incredibly proud of you.

To the entire 144 BJJ family: Thank you for your patience with this overdue shout-out, and thank you for making our mats such an amazing community to be a part of.

🌟 New Belts on the Mat!
We are incredibly proud to announce two major belt promotions:

Sean is officially a Blue Belt! 🥋 This is a huge transition in any Jiu-Jitsu journey. It represents hours of sweat, technical growth, and the perseverance to push through the white belt grind. Sean has been a fixture on our mats, and seeing him reach this level is a proud moment for the whole gym.

Levi has earned her Gray/Black Belt! 🌟 Watching Levi’s focus and skill evolve has been a highlight for us. She brings a great attitude to every class, and this new belt is a testament to her hard work in the kids' program.

⚪️ Stripe SZN!
In addition to our new belts, we had lots of students earn new stripes! Whether it's your first stripe or your fourth, each one is a symbol of your consistency and your commitment to getting 1% better every time you step on the mats here in Dinwiddie.

A huge congratulations to everyone who leveled up! Take a second to celebrate the progress, but we'll see you back at training to keep that momentum rolling toward the next goal.

In our kids' program at 144 BJJ, a stripe is more than just a piece of tape—it’s a symbol of focus, discipline, and the "never-ending work" they put in every single week. Watching these kids develop the confidence to try new techniques and the resilience to keep going when things get tough is the best part of being a coach.

🏆 MCDONOGH OPEN RECAP: DWC BRINGS HOME THE GOLD 🥇

Big Saturday for Dinwiddie Wrestling Club! We took three hammers up to the McDonogh Open, and they represented the Dinwiddie with everything they had.

A massive shoutout to Ezra for a dominant performance, taking 1st Place and bringing some hardware back to Dinwiddie! 🏆🥇

Beyond the medals, this weekend was about the work. We took away some invaluable lessons on the mat that are going to fuel our training in the "Pit” all week.
Whether we win or we learn, we’re always getting better.

Proud of the grit, the heart, and the technique these boys showed. We’re just getting started. 🦁🔨
