FACILITY UPGRADES:

A sincere thank you to every volunteer, customer, racer, family and friend that has helped BCRP grow over the past couple years.

Thank you to Chris, Claude, Odell, John, Dustin, Steve, Stephanie and Al for assisting us over the weekend with the construction of our new tech building.

Honorable mention to Surry County for supporting the facility over the past couple years.

Lastly thank you to every single person both young and old who have come through our gates over the past couple years. Your patronage allows us to continue projects like this.

The tech building will be ready for the Hanley 18 on Sept 19th.

A couple other projects going on....

1. The front entrance azalea bushes are now all gone. (Drunk driver took out half of them) Guardrail being installed with curb appeal.

2. Additional rock, cleaning and leveling of driveways and grid.

3. Leveling of pit area low spots, seeding, etc.

YOUNG RACERS - GETTING TRACK TIME:

Our Beginner Program continues to grow. This past Saturday we had our 7th young inspiring racer come through the program. Our next race is already booked with 2 more additional young racers.

Parents: Information below on how your children can take laps around the track and experience kart racing in a controlled environment.

You can sign up your children by going to our website and filling out the application form. There is no cost for the program.

Thank you to all the racers who have donated their winnings, additional money, sponsors like TRG Bodies and Nitro Manufacturing for their support and sponsorship.

NEW BEGINNER SUPPORT: NITRO MANUFACTURING

Richard Timmons and Nitro Manufacturing is donating gear sets to any new racer who comes through our Beginner Program and decided to go racing. This will provide the parents with great products and a cost savings along with tech support.

The graduating Beginner does not have to remain racing at BCRP to be eligible for the gear set. Richard has continued to help young racers in the karting community and we appreciate it.

HELP WANTED: MINOR PROJECTS

We are looking for a little help on 3 small projects coming up. If you have experience, PM us for details. All of the work will take place on the weekends.... Maybe a Friday.

1. We're looking for 1 experienced carpenter to help finish up the tech shed. We need help on Sept 12th. The walls and trusses are prefab. It's measure and put in place. The floor will be finished this weekend. SEPT 12TH ONLY

2. Anyone with guardrail installation experience? We are replacing our trees at the front entrance with guardrail after the drunk driver took them out. The guardrail, poles, etc. have been purchased. We'll have a small crane onsite to help install them. Each straight run is 52'. Date TBD

3. We want to clean/resurface our driveways. Do you have or know someone that supports karting in any way that can do the work. (See pic for details) Date TBD (Would like it done by Sept 18th.)

If you or you know someone who can help us out (Not asking for free shizzle) let us know. As always, we'd rather support someone who supports racing then just Google search for help.

HELPING NEW RACERS: GEARING

Occasionally we get questions about gearing for a specific class from racers coming to our facility for the first time.

I'd like to get a general idea for gearing in all classes and I'll have it posted on the website for first timers to review.

If you don't mind sharing a general/rough starting point for front n rear gear selection to help first time racers. I'm just looking for a general range to help them get off the trailer.

I'm aware it changes based on track conditions, etc.

Please post gears/range/etc. and for what class. I'll compile and post on the website.

Thanks for the feedback.
