This annual run takes place at the end of Su***de Awareness Week and is all about bringing awareness, support, and resources to our community while reminding people that they are not alone.

🥓 Breakfast will be provided by McDonald’s! There will also be running snacks and other race-day amenities available courtesy of Xpress Wellness of Dodge City.

We are so excited to announce that the City of Dodge City will be providing FREE transportation to and from the Civic Center for anyone who needs it! 🚐🙌

We truly want this event to be accessible to everyone in our community.

We have an awesome group of vendors and organizations joining us with free resources, registration opportunities, information, giveaways and more.

💚 Flex Fitness will be on-site with information about gym memberships, and we will also be hosting TWO FREE community HYROX classes that morning. You do not have to be a member to participate!

💛 Compass Behavioral Health, the Ford County Sheriff’s Office, the Ford County Su***de Coalition, the Yellow Ribbon Project, and more will also be joining us as we come together for the 13th Annual Alive and Running 5K in support of Su***de Awareness Week.

The Alive and Running 5K benefits the Ford County Su***de Coalition and Yellow Ribbon Project and helps continue the incredibly important work of su***de prevention, awareness, and mental health support right here in Southwest Kansas.

And this is only a SMALL part of everything we have planned. 👀

The whole purpose of this event is to bring as many health and wellness resources as possible together in ONE place and make them available to our community completely FREE.

🤓👓The Vision Van will be coming to Dodge City for the Q97 + Flex Fitness 2nd Annual FREE Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, September 12th at the Dodge City Civic Center!

This is seriously such a big deal for Dodge City. Having the Vision Van right here in our community gives people the opportunity to receive FREE vision screenings AND FREE eyeglasses — something that can make such a huge difference for individuals and families who may not otherwise have easy access to vision care.

And this is just ONE of the many amazing things happening that day!

We’ll also have the American Red Cross Blood Drive, the 13th Annual Alive and Running 5K benefiting the Ford County Su***de Coalition and Yellow Ribbon Project, along with other free health and wellness resources for our community.

This year, the 5K will start and finish at the Dodge City Civic Center and will be happening alongside our FREE Health & Wellness Clinic, which will be going on throughout the day.

Prices increase August 21st, and shirt orders go in August 31st, so now is the time to get registered, save a little money, and make sure you get one of the really cool race tees.

We’re kicking off the morning with the Yellow Ribbon Project and Ford County Su***de Coalition’s annual ALIVE AND RUNNING 5K, starting and finishing at the Dodge City Civic Center. The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. sharp and is held in support of su***de awareness and prevention right here in our community.

Also starting at 8:00 a.m. is the kickoff of our 2nd Annual FREE Health & Wellness Clinic, hosted by Flex Fitness and Q97.

This year, we are super excited to welcome back to Dodge City Dr. James Moffitt, Chief Medical Officer at Ashland Health Center. Dr. Moffitt has been practicing medicine in Dodge City and southwest Kansas since 2001 and is originally from north-central Kansas.

Come out and visit with Doc about any needs or questions you may have, meet the team from Ashland Health Center, enjoy a nice fall 5K through central Dodge City, and check out all of the other medical and wellness professionals we will have throughout the day.

One of the big things happening at this year’s clinic is an American Red Cross blood drive. If you’d like to donate blood while you’re there, you can go ahead and reserve your spot now.
