Southwest Barrel Racing Association The SBRA holds open 4D barrel races in southwest Kansas. The Southwest Barrel Racing Association is a barrel racing organization located in western Kansas.

We hold jackpots within a 150-mile radius of Garden City, Kan. We have open 4D jackpots along with youth and rookie horse classes.

If you havent got your two jackpots that you help at to get qualified for year end awards, this is your last chance, its also a great chance to get a run in before the Sunflower. Also, the Whimmydiddle is at the park, so it will be slow going getting thru or you can take an alternate route.FMI : Angie 620-355-1891 or Diane 620-640-8437. FYI: The warm up area east of the arena is muddy, as well as some of the parking area, so watch where you park so you dont get stuck. Finals Saturday October 10, we will be having our general membership meeting to vote on rule proposals and election of board members, please attend, the memberships input is important, complaining after the fact does nothing to make our association better and stronger. We will also have a jackpot which will be the first one of the new year. We will also be having door prizes and a potluck lunch. Betty Dew will be furnishing the meat and buns for her special recipe sandwiches, so please thank her for her generosity. Members are asked to bring a side dish, salad, chips, dessert or whatever, you are not required to bring anything, everyone is welcome, even if you are not receiving an award. We will have a photographer taking pictures during the race, please support Western Images photography (Kerstin Mitchell) so she will come back again 😁. We will pass out year end awards to the top 6 on the open, top 3 in the youth, rookie and poles, jackets can also be picked, please get your size turned in by September 21, there is a size chart that was posted Sept 16. A schedule for the finals will be posted.

Jacket size sign-up: If you have helped at two or more jackpots, or can become eligible in the next two jackpots you are eligible for a jacket as well as any prizes earned.
