Mutton Bustin’ 2026 was packed with tiny cowboys and cowgirls, speedy sheep, and big arena energy. 🐑🤠

Slack ran Wednesday through Saturday, and our Top 10 riders from each night came back to perform during the rodeo. Then the top 3 from each night returned on Sunday for the finals — where our toughest little riders went head‑to‑head for the championship buckle. 🏆✨

Huge congratulations to all our nightly finalists and to our overall winner — y’all made this year’s Mutton Bustin’ one for the books. 🎉

A highlight of Dodge City Days 2026: Dr. R.C. and Mary Trotter, our 2023 Roundup Rodeo Hall of Fame inductees, proudly served as Parade Marshals. A well‑deserved honor. Their legacy and lifelong dedication to Roundup brought a special kind of pride to this year’s parade.

Friday night, we had the privilege of recognizing the men who have served as President of the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo throughout our 50-year history.

We honor the legacy of those who are no longer with us. Their vision, leadership, and countless hours of dedication helped build the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo into the tradition it is today. Their impact will never be forgotten.

We were especially grateful to have the eight living past and current presidents join us Friday night. Pictured from left to right are past Presidents Larry Burkett, Earl McVicker, David Ripple, Larry Noller, Paul Lehmkuler, Dave Lowry, Dr. R.C. Trotter, and current President Steve Deges.

Bill and Julie attended their first rodeo last week, and we were honored to have them join us for the 50th Annual Dodge City Roundup Rodeo! 🤠

The couple moved to Dodge City from Ontario, Canada in June for work, and we’re excited to welcome them to our community.

Thank you, Bill and Julie, for spending part of your first Dodge City rodeo experience with us. We hope it’s the first of many! ❤️🤠
