AOY standings shouldn’t be a guessing game.

Tournament IQ just made it even easier to understand exactly how an angler earned their position.

Want to know where those points came from?

Just click the angler’s name.

You can immediately see:

Every tournament contributing to their AOY total
Their finish in each event
The points earned
Big Fish bonus points
Which events are actually counted toward their season total
Other results that could potentially replace a counted event

In the example above, Joshua “Mek” Evans has 492 AOY points across 5 counted events, with every event clearly broken down.

No spreadsheets.
No digging through tournament results.
No wondering which events count.

Click the angler. See the season. Understand the standings.

That’s the kind of transparency we believe tournament analytics should provide.

One of the biggest headaches in tournament fishing is keeping track of who qualifies for what.

For anglers, it means digging through rules, past results, standings and announcements just to answer one question:

“Am I qualified?”

For tournament directors, it means answering that question over and over again.

We decided to solve it.

The new Championship Qualification feature on the Tournament IQ homepage puts the answer directly in front of the angler.

When an angler opens the app, TIQ can show:

QUALIFIED
How they qualified
Which tournament earned the qualification
And what they need to do if they haven’t qualified yet

No spreadsheets.
No digging through Facebook posts.
No guessing.
No director having to manually explain it 50 times.

The app knows where you stand — and tells you.

And this is bigger than just Battle of the Best.

We’re building Tournament IQ so that the information anglers need and the information directors manage live in one place.

Less administrative work for directors.
Less confusion for anglers.
A better tournament experience for everyone.

This is what we mean when we say Tournament IQ is becoming the operating system for kayak tournament fishing.

The tournament ends. The data shouldn't.

Every CPR tournament creates valuable information.

Who fished.
What they caught.
Where they finished.
How they performed.
How they’re progressing.
How the club is evolving.

The problem is that tournament data is often treated as the end of the process.

We see it differently.

The tournament result should be the beginning of something bigger.

That's why Tournament IQ was built to be scoring-system agnostic.

Use the tournament scoring system that works for your trail. Bring those results into TIQ, and they become part of a much larger ecosystem of club management, angler history, rankings, analytics and intelligence.

But we're taking that concept one step further for 2027.

TIQ now has its own CPR scoring layer.

That means trails that want a completely integrated solution can run the entire tournament inside TIQ:

Club management.
Tournament setup.
Angler registration.
CPR submissions.
Judging.
Scoring.
Results.
Rankings.
Analytics.
Angler history.
Intelligence.

All connected from the start.

And trails that already have a scoring workflow they like?

Keep using it.

TIQ can still turn those tournament results into something much bigger.

That's the point.

We're not trying to dictate how competitive fishing should be run.

We're building the infrastructure that makes whatever system you choose more valuable to your club and your anglers.

And now, for those who want it, TIQ can do it all in one place.

More choice for directors.
Less administrative work.
More value from every tournament.

Tournament IQ

Know More. Fish Smarter.

TIQ has powered CRM through an entire season, and the feedback from anglers has been incredible.

But we’re not done.

Every tournament, every conversation, and every piece of feedback is helping shape what TIQ becomes next. What you see today is a strong foundation — but the vision is much bigger.

The best part? We’re building it alongside the people who actually use it.

This is only the beginning.

Great Interview from USA Kayak Fishing Magazine talking about Practice IQ.

As more clubs start running their tournaments through TIQ, the future of competitive kayak fishing rankings is going to get very interesting.

Imagine national, regional, and state rankings built from one connected ecosystem of clubs, tournaments, and anglers.

We’re just getting started. The more clubs that come on board, the clearer the picture becomes of who’s really competing at the highest level.

The future of rankings is coming. And TIQ is building toward it.

This was such a great experience. A huge thank you to Roy Widgeon of USA Kayak Fishing Magazine for inviting me onto the show and being such a gracious host.

This was the first time I’ve ever done a podcast on my own, and honestly, it felt like an out-of-body experience. I’ve watched the interview back probably 20 times, and I’m still surprised by some of the things that came out of my mouth.

Roy has a way of making you feel comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely heard. His questions were thoughtful and gave me the opportunity to talk about the vision behind TIQ in a way I hadn’t really done before.

That’s a testament to Roy and the quality of what he’s building with USA Kayak Fishing Magazine. I’m grateful he gave me the opportunity to be part of it and to share my story.

Thank you, Roy, for the invitation and for making my first solo podcast experience such a memorable one.
