Mati Anderson is a passionate and seasoned dance educator, choreographer, and performer whose training and career span the globe. She began her formal training at DC Dance Factory and became the youngest student ever accepted into Virginia School of the Arts, a ballet boarding school known for cultivating elite, pre-professional talent.

As a pre-professional, Mati trained with other institutions such as The Joffrey Ballet School, American Ballet Theatre, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet (CCB). While earning her BFA in Dance, she performed repertory by Abraham.In.Motion, Kile Hotchkiss, and CCB, attended the American Dance Festival, and completed a summer residency at NYU.
Returning to her roots by moving back home to Tennessee, Mati currently choreographs and teaches at competitive studios across the country, and serves as the ballet and technique teacher for the University of Tennessee Dance Team. Her work is fueled by a deep love for artistry and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of dancers.
