We're excited to share something new that we've been working on behind the scenes for this year’s Wiregrass 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb 🇺🇸
For the first time, we’re adding a 5K Walk/Ruck as part of the event.

Save the Date!
The Wiregrass 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is coming back for our 3rd annual climb… and you won’t want to miss it.
🗓️ Mark your calendars now — this year’s event will take place at night. That’s right… under the lights, together, we will climb in honor, in remembrance, and in unity. There’s something powerful about gathering after dark — and we believe this change will make the experience even more meaningful (in addition to working better for busy schedules and warm weather).
As we approach the 25th Anniversary of 9/11, our goal is to make this year’s event more impactful and unforgettable than ever before. We are working on some special elements to honor the lives lost and the heroes who gave everything.
We’re still finalizing details and working through approvals, but trust us… you’re going to want to be part of this.
🇺🇸 Stay tuned for more updates as we bring this vision to life.

Last weekend Rebekah and I traveled to New York City to meet with other Stair Climb Coordinators from across the country, and to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. It was a very powerful experience for us and we look forward to sharing exciting updates about this year's event as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Happy Veterans Day to all the brave men and women who have served our country! We are grateful for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to protecting our freedoms. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 🇺🇸
Also, we received the photos from our climb photographer, Jamie Wilkinson. As always, he did not disappoint. Thank you, Jamie, for volunteering your time and talents two years in a row now.
Check out the photos by using the link in the comms below. All photos can be downloaded simply by entering an email address.
Here's a video that was created by one of our climbers, Dawn Tucker. Fun fact: she shot this with her SUNGLASSES! Thanks Dawn, for sharing this!

Thank you guys for your patience with us getting pictures posted. All of our photographers/videographers volunteer their time and talents so we work on their timeline. We got our first batch of photos today though! Photo credit: Karlie E Photography.

Thank you to everyone who participated in yesterday's climb. Seeing everyone push themselves to honor the first responders who gave their lives that day, felt a lot like September 12, 2001 when our nation came together in a big way.
This year's event surpassed last year's, with 143 participants raising $4,700 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. A special thank you to the Dothan Fire Department for their generous sponsorship and efforts in promoting the event.
Despite challenging weather, the heat added a meaningful layer of difficulty, mirroring the resilience shown by those in the towers on 9/11. Adam and I are super grateful for our Wiregrass first responders and for the privilege of raising our children alongside a dedicated community of patriots who continue to show up for this cause.
Keep an eye out for a survey this week to give us your feedback on this year's climb and on what you'd like to see going forward. We hope to make this an event that everyone will look forward to doing each year.
