Now I know why he resigned and walked away from this game
It wasn’t the kids it was the parents
They just can’t deal with reality of where why there kids ain’t on the field
One thing SALT has always done is when we recruit players we go thru the process of recruiting the parents first
This stint in 18u has been a trying run
Losing pitchers and catcher to injury isn’t easy but you keep working and hoping ones develops soon
We have a great Group of kids and on several teams the back ups can be starters
understand your role and be ready when called upon
So far I had to put a 13 year old in a position to fail but she said no to failure she faced it head on and came out doing her job
Countless times in coaching this kid she has never let me down
Reality is if she ever failed I promise you she will be the first one at the facilty working on what she failed at
Its just her nature
Got another one that is 14 that’s been called upon and also has stepped up and is pushing for playing time it’s players like this that makes the sport what it is
Stop making excuses
Be accountable
Do your damn job
Work harder
Blood sweat and tears
If you fail get back on your feet and try again
Nobody owes you anything
Time to step up your game
You see you have 3 choices
Give in

Or just give it all you got
