A mini driver might be the new best thing 🤔
TaylorMade’s R7 Quad Mini, Qi4D driver, and Qi4D 3-wood offer three different ways to handle tee shots. Choosing between them starts with what you need that club to do.
📏 The mini measures 43.75 inches, compared with 45.75 for the driver and 43.25 for the 3-wood. It is two inches shorter than the driver, but only half an inch longer than the fairway wood.
🔎 Head size tells another part of the story. The mini sits at 305 cc, between the driver’s 460 cc and the 3-wood’s 185 cc. That gives it a larger head than the wood without the driver’s full playing length.
🎯 A shorter build may help some golfers find the center more often. But that does not guarantee straighter shots. Keeping distance on a mish*t and keeping the ball online are two different things.
💨 Separate robot testing of Titleist models showed why assumptions can mislead. The mini carried just 3.1 yards farther than the 3-wood, while the driver finished 19.5 yards ahead of the mini.
