5 years ago today!!

Sometimes, we don’t always understand why God makes the decisions He does. In March of 2024, I made the tough decision to retire from cheerleading after 27 years of coaching. At the time, I couldn’t figure out why it weighed so heavily on my heart, but I trusted the Holy Spirit and followed His lead.

Fast forward to May 2024, when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, I’ve had surgery and am currently undergoing chemo, and I’m doing well. This is a battle I know I can win!

Recently, I came across a photo of Coach Kayla writing on our chalkboard, and it brought back a flood of emotions. I realized I’ve been quiet for a while, so I wanted to post. I miss cheer, my athletes, my parents, my fellow coaches, and seeing teams from all over the world.

I just wanted to pop in and say hello and wish you all the best of luck this season. Who knows, you might even see me pop up at a competition or two! Love you all!
