RAKC Points Race #5 at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

A pair of wins to cap off a weather affected day.
Found pace early and was the kart to beat in both classes all day

Senior Light came down to a last lap battle in the rain on an increasingly damp track on slick tires. We were able to defend the lead and take the win.

Senior Medium was the opposite as we followed the leader until a last lap pass into turn one gave us the race lead and we were able to convert it into a win!

-Results-

Senior Light:
Heat 1: P1 - 🥇
Heat 2: P18 - 🥉
Feature: P1 - 🥇

Senior Medium:
Heat 1: P2 - 🥇
Heat 2: P14 - P4
Feature: P2 - 🥇

Last weekend was round 4 and the finale of the Route 66 Sprint Series at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America

We were solidly Top 10 all weekend. The pace showed from first practice on Friday and lasted the entire event.

We finished Happy Hour with 4th fastest time setting us up for a good start in qualifying

Unfortunately in qualifying we got stuck behind some slower traffic and lacked a bit of pace overall ultimately setting the 9th fastest time.

Starting 9th in heat 1, we quickly moved up to p5 on the first lap but gradually shuffled back to 8th as the race progressed. We finished 7th out 44

Starting 7th in heat 2, we once again made moves on the first lap up to p4 but battled hard in the top 10 to finish 7th. Unfortunately due to an incident crossing the finish line, we were collected in a pretty scary crash that led to me smashing into the wall on the front straight, coming to a stop back in the racing line. The kart was largely undamaged and everything in the end was ok but an unnecessary situation all together.

For the Feature, we started 7th once again but lost a position on the first lap. The entire top 10 throughout all 18 laps was one big group of competitive and fierce battling. We ultimately crossed the line in 9th position. After the race we were given a 4 position avoidable contact penalty. After reviewing the footage with the other driver, we both came to the same conclusion that there was no wrong doing on either side and that it was an innocent racing incident. We decided not to protest the penalty.

This was easily the best weekend of the year and possibly of my entire career. The 2026 Route 66 Sprint Series was a blast and cannot thank the Route staff and series more for putting on such a great event every race.

Thank you to my sponsors for supporting us!

Last weekend was Round 3 of Route 66 Sprint Series at Badger Kart Club

There were 42 karts in class and it was shaping up to be an extremely competitive event. Practice went well and we were making great progress towards the front runners.

Unfortunately after Happy Hour on Saturday, we were notified that our front bumper would not pass tech for qualifying due to damage to the underside of the bumper. Therefore we had to change our front bumper. Unfortunately the trackside vendor did not sell the same style that we had as it is no longer made. We had to buy an updated bumper and fairing as the new one would not fit with our existing fairing.

All of this was in a rush with 10 minutes to go until qualifying and we still needed to attach our engine seal. It is clear to say that this massively affected our qualifying position as we overlooked a setup issue and our mindset was clouded.

-Results-
Qualifying: P26/42
Heat 1: P26 - P18(P20 after a penalty)
Heat 2: P20 - P16
Feature: P18 - P15

We were able to make up good pace and positions in every race and were always a couple tenths within the leaders fastest times.

A lot of vital lessons were learned the hard way this weekend. We will make some mental adjustments for the next round at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America for Round 4!

Hey Stolper Racing fans!!!
It was a busy month of June for Stolper Racing.

We got to start the month by racing round 2 of the Route 66 Sprint Series at Norway Motorsports Park! It was a long and difficult weekend at a track we’ve never been too. Amazing facility and easily the most fun I’ve had on a racetrack. The results do not show the weekend we had. Had pace on Saturday but quickly fell off. We realized too late on Sunday that our axle came loose and compromised our setup. All in all it was a struggle but lots of information was learned the hard way.

The weekend after, we raced round 2 of Cup Karts North America North Division at Briggs & Stratton Motorplex at Road America. It was back home for us but that didn’t stop us from having a tough weekend with a tire brand and compound we’ve never ran before. Again, the results on paper do not show how much pace we really had. All weekend we were within a few tenths of the leaders but could never make up any positions. It was easily 10 of the best drivers in wisconsin battling very close throughout every session! Ended up with the 3rd fastest lap in the feature on Sunday after an exciting battle throughout the entire grid!

Congratulations to Cale Zimmermann for winning back to back weekends. He had an incredible drive at Norway to win from essentially last place on Saturday to win the feature on Sunday!

Thank you to all of our sponsors who have supported through this exciting yet exhausting month of racing! We get a weekend off before our next RAKC points race on June 27th.
