This weekend we will have a TRACK CARE DAY, Saturday (9:00-1:00) we will be asking for anyone who can come help out to do so! The rest of Saturday will be open practice to those who volunteer. To the members who have been asking how to help, we thank you and this is your chance, below is a list of what we would like to do Saturday. On Sunday we will be having karts on track all day for those who want to get every bit of seat time before the end of the season.

Paint grid, rumble strips, and benches
Repair fencing
Carve parking lines in grass
Build trophies for kids karts
Trim trees and brush
Repair/replace crash bags
Wash registration building
Repair children jungle gym
Privacy fence between caretaker and parking
Inspect/repair electrical outlets (electrician)
Burn the brush
Fill/repair asphalt cracks

● Kona Ice will be on site from 1-4...Yeah!!!

● Tag Master- any racer that was signed up for our rain out on Aug 9th have already been transferred to this race. You must still check in at registration to receive your wristbands.

● This is the last JSS race. If you are signed up for the JSS, this is your last date to ensure that our photographer has a picture of your racer.

● Attached is the photographer's info to buy pictures.

● We are also still looking for donations for the silent auction at the Banquet. Please see the flyer below. Anything helps!

● As we get to the last few points races of the season, I want to remind everyone to be respectful of the staff and their fellow racers.

BKC members have set a high standard for sportsmanship and family atmosphere both at and away from the track. (Please refer to rule 3.2 in the rulebook)

Saturday is the rain make up for points race #10. If you were registered for the rain out, you are already in there. You must still check in to get your wristbands. Tag Masters DOES NOT run. Those will be moved to the next Tag Masters race. This is also JSS race #6!

Sunday is points race #11 and JSS #7. At the break there will be the nominations for Board of Directors. Please see the previous post about how this works!

***Attention Club Members***

It's that time of year again when we start talking about elections for the Board of Directors. If you are unaware; Badger Kart Club does not have an owner. It is member run, overseen by a Board of Directors. This Board consists of 5 officer positions and 8 director positions. Each are a 2-year term, which causes half of the board to be up for election each year.

Any member in good standings with the club is eligible to run for a position. Here is the process: At the break during Points Race #11 on Sunday August 23rd we hold a nomination meeting. If you are interested in running, someone needs to nominate you for the position, and someone else needs to second the nomination. The names are then listed on a ballot that members receive at one of the last races of the year, or mailed, to vote on who they would like in the board positions for 2 years. The ballots are counted at the banquet and the new Board of Directors is announced that night.
