What does DSSA want to achieve for its athletes? We are committed to ensuring a level playing field for athletes with Down syndrome. We know special things happen in 3’s -- (1) we are passionate about bringing awareness, across the USA, that athletes with Down syndrome can train alongside their peers; (2) we are here to inspire families as they develop their child or young person’s sporting experiences including support for devising an action plan that will enable them to work towards achieving their goals; and most importantly, (3) we strive to build character within our athletes that will encourage them to never give up.
