The Delaware Dawgs continue to strengthen their roster and make a major statement ahead of the upcoming American Basketball Association season.

General Manager and Head Coach “Mac” Smith, alongside Owner Shaq Mack, are proud to announce the signing of dynamic guard Khalif “Dolla Bill” Meares for the 2026-27 ABA campaign.

A proven winner and elite playmaker, Meares arrives after an outstanding season at Rowan University, where he led the Profs in scoring (19.5 PPG), rebounds (5.1 RPG), and steals (3.7 SPG) while shooting an impressive 50.7% from the field. His ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor has established him as one of the most respected guards in the region.

Before Rowan, Meares etched his name into the record books at Harcum Community College, becoming the program’s all-time leader in steals (183) while also ranking sixth all-time in assists (257) and eleventh in points scored (817). A product of Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, he has built a reputation throughout the City of Brotherly Love as one of the most electrifying and competitive guards on the court.

Known to basketball fans as “Dolla Bill,” Khalif has consistently showcased his talent in Philadelphia’s highly competitive summer basketball scene, where his skill, toughness, and star power have earned the respect of players and fans alike. His ability to energize a crowd and take over a game makes him a perfect addition to Dawg Pound Nation.

Now, Dolla Bill is ready for the next chapter of his basketball journey as he brings his talents to the professional ranks with the Delaware Dawgs.

The ABA season tips off on October 17th as the Dawgs take on the Uptown Ballers, and Khalif Meares is poised to be a key contributor in what promises to be an exciting season for the organization.

The Delaware PitBulls are set to return to action this Friday night as they take on Vision Lane in a highly anticipated matchup at Shoot Hoops KOP, located at 320 S. Henderson Road, King of Prussia, PA. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM.

We invite all members of Dawg Pound Nation to come out and show their support as the PitBulls continue their pursuit of excellence this season. With multiple games taking place throughout the evening, fans can expect an exciting atmosphere filled with competitive basketball and high-level talent.

Leading the charge for the PitBulls has been Tomir Gibbs, who has opened the season in impressive fashion and continues to establish himself as one of the league’s most impactful players under Head Coach Mac’s leadership. His strong performances have helped set the tone for the team’s early success, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
