AYSO Region 24 Downey

AYSO Region 24 Downey Sports Soccer Organization The fall season is played from mid August thru early December with registration taking place in April and May.

During the fall soccer season, Region 24 provides a safe and organized soccer program for approximately 1,700 kids and teens ranging in age from 4 to 19 years. Games are played in Downey on Saturdays at Griffiths Middle School and Maude Price Elementary. Teams that accumulate the minimum amount of volunteer referee points during the fall season are invited to participate in the Commissioner's Cup

Tournament. The Commissioner's Cup is the most exciting two weeks of the season, crowning one champion from each division who go on to represent the region in the area and section playoffs.

‼️‼️ A message from the Regional Commisioner, Michael Rios
I wanted to say Thank You 🙌 to everyone who participated in Downey AYSO’s Opening Day. Our Board Members, our parent volunteers, our players and their families all combined to make it a special day despite the heat. We have over 1000 players registered in our Region thanks to the parents who have volunteered to be coaches, asst coaches and team managers. With them, we are working towards AYSO’s Mission Statement to develop quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on AYSO’s six philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Good Sportsmanship, Positive Coaching, Player Development.
