⚽💙🏆 CONGRATULATIONS, DOWNEY AYSO REGION 24 EPIC! 🏆💙⚽

What an incredible day at the San Clemente Tournament 2026! Both of our teams represented the Downey AYSO EPIC Program with pride, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship!

💙 To our Teenage Team: I couldn’t be prouder of the amazing collaboration with the Long Beach EPIC Program! This beautiful picture says it all. The teamwork, camaraderie, and friendships formed on the field reflect what our Downey EPIC program stands for—inclusion, unity, and making sure everyone belongs!

💙 To our Senior Team: WOW! Your sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect throughout today’s tournament were extraordinary! You played with heart, looked out for one another, and showed kindness and respect to your opponents. I couldn’t have been prouder to stand alongside you on that field!

Watching our players grow, support one another, and shine is what makes this program so special.

👏⚽ GREAT JOB, DOWNEY! YOU MADE US PROUD! 💙

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our former player, Sebastian Burgos. Sebastian was part of our soccer community many years ago, playing alongside his siblings. His father also gave back to our community as a volunteer coach and referee.
During this difficult time, we ask our soccer family to come together and support the Burgos family as they face this unexpected loss. Any donation, no matter the amount, can help ease the financial burden.

Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping Sebastian and his family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️⚽️❤️

❤️ Downey Region 24❤️
This tragedy is hitting very close to home for our soccer family.
The young lady who tragically passed away alongside Sebastian Burgos leaves behind siblings who are currently playing this Fall season, including one who plays on one of our BU10 teams.
As the Downey Region 24 soccer community, we want to come together and show these kiddos that they are surrounded by love, support, and a family that cares about them.
No child should ever have to experience this kind of loss. We know there are no words that can take away their pain, but we can make sure they know they are not alone.
We ask our coaches, players, families, and entire region to please keep these children and their families in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s show them the strength and compassion of the Downey Region 24 family. ❤️🙏
