A Life Unrivaled

We live in a day and age when everything around us is tempest tossed. But if you know who you are and whose you are, you will stand.

Your heavenly Father wrote out the intimate details of your life in His book long before you drew your first breath. No one else can live your story. It is time your pages came alive. Living the story lines written for others will leave what God has written of you unfulfilled. Each and every one of us has a specific course and destiny. The Holy Spirit’s direction is essential if you are going to live a life without rival. This Spirit-led life is not merely a concept or a romantic hope—it is an expression of spiritual discipline and a personal act of worship. A life of devotion, not distraction. With each act of obedience in both your intimate and your public life, He will detail His purpose for your life and His voice to you will grow in clarity.

Your life and its potential is a God-given entrustment. It would be a shame if all that is in you were like so much treasure and talents buried under the opinions and expectations of strangers. You are not here on earth as a spectator. You have far more important and interesting things to do with your life. It is time you knew this.

Stand before God, radiant in hope, faithful in serving, and loving in all you do. For you, my friend and sister, have been seeded with a stunning story of promise—a destiny without rival. Now go with the courage born of love and boldly spend your life in pursuit of everything God has for you. I promise, it’ll be worth it.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙍𝙐𝙏𝙃 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙨

I don’t want you to think that being created without rival means your unrivaled promise will be easy to attain. Rivals are a fact of life. I know. Sorry. I don’t like it either, but it is true. And yet, rivals are not without purpose. Creating a life without rival is not about removing rivals from your life. Rather, it is about understanding that truly all things can work together for our good when we are called according to God’s purpose.

We can use the dynamics of rivalry to spur us on to greater growth and insight. If viewed correctly, rivals can serve as a catalyst, exposing our weaknesses and challenging us to develop our strengths. They push us beyond our limits and cause us to look up when we feel alone.

Maybe you’re thinking, wait—you told me I am a daughter without rival, an heiress of unrivaled promise, created to worship a God without rival.

All true. This is how you should see yourself relationally with your Creator, and it is your vantage for how you relate to others. But we would be more than naïve if we pretended that rivalries didn’t exist and that the promises came to us without a battle. The proclamation “You are the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14) does not negate the existence of darkness. Saying that you are a daughter without rival does not mean you will not encounter rivals any more than saying you are light means you will never face darkness.

I have learned to be so incredibly thankful for the opposition of rivals in my life. Rather than quit, and wallow in the despair of discouragement, I have learned to look back and see the repeated faithfulness of God. He carried me each and every time when I didn’t think I could take another step. I have learned more about the faithfulness of God from my enemies than from my friends.

Friends will offer you shelter (which is a good thing), but not necessarily a dynamic that fosters growth. Friends want to see you protected from the storms of life, while an enemy will do their best to lock you out in the pouring rain. But what if you are in a season when God wants you to learn that He is your ultimate shelter? Who is a better instructor: a rival or a friend?

”Even though you intended to hurt me, God intended it for good. It was his plan all along, to ensure the survival of many people. So, don’t worry. I myself will provide for you all that you need, both for you and your little ones.”“

Heard this the other day & it’s been marinating ever since…

There's so much going on lately that it's hard to pinpoint where & what to share. Hard times are a plenty for everyone these days but there is always hope. So lemme share some of mine... An opportunity was presented to Billy & I that honestly I don't feel qualified or worthy for... but GOD says otherwise. Now a couple weeks before this came about, I was sitting in church when I felt an immediate urge to get my passport (Yes, my 1st one at 44!). I told Billy on the way home and then figured God would let me know why later on. So Feb 15th was my appointment - paid extra for expedited. This past Wednesday I rushed out to get my oil changed & inspection so I could renew my tags. Totally forgot that it's early voting! Got into the sub court house about 1:30, signed in for vehicle registration with a tag of F111. Decided to risk it & run upstairs to vote. I managed to vote early, then get called to window 11 with my F111 ticket. In and out of there in 30 minutes!! 🙌 Next it was off to Sam's for gas & groceries... $41.11 in gas! Look at all those 1's!! Then today, 15 days later, my passport shows up. I wasn't expecting it for at least 2-3 more weeks at a minimum. Y'all... for real. God's been telling me every hour counts - I'm trying to be as obedient as never before and the blessings are just fling and flying around! It's so hard to die to my self ish ness isms every day. I fail often but persist and persevere trying harder next time.
There may be noise & ish flying all around you but you can find that stillness with HIM in the eye of the storm.
Remember what Paul told the Philippians "Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always." (Phil 4:8)

Wow! I was blessed to attend a Celebrate Recovery tonight while in Salt Lake & per usual the Spirit fell and HE showed up & showed off!! I’m in awe of His goodness & glory. I wish I could stay but I WILL be back, that’s for sure! Our hotel is 8.8 miles from that church too!
