✨ 💋Instructor Highlight: Shari Bringhurst 💋✨
A founding member and instructor since 2016, Shari Bringhurst has been part of Moxy’s journey from the very beginning. Her years of experience, thoughtful teaching, and passion for movement continue to inspire our community every day. 💛
We asked Shari what style of movement is inspiring her most right now? 🤔
She said, “My favorite style for where I’m at right now are dance classes to keep a 360 degree range of motion while embracing creative movement. I enjoyed dancing when I was young and it’s fun to still be able to do that now. As I get stronger, I would like to branch out to other things.
It’s great to start with building a strong foundation, taking floor classes to familiarize your body awareness and increase mobility and strength. From there, taking the time to explore the variety of classes to feel what resonates within and build upon that as you progress. When we are pulled so many directions in life, it’s nice to have something you get to do for yourself that you really care about, not just going through the motions of a fitness class. I also love the Moxy community so much and it’s an honor to be a part of it!”

✨💋 Introducing Christina Barton 💋✨
With 230+ classes since January 2025, Christina is the definition of dedication. Her focus, patience, and graceful style make her such a beautiful dancer to watch, and is an incredible example to both students and instructors alike. 💛
With that dedication, we wanted to know, how does Christina stay steady in her continual practice? 🤔
She said, “For me, it is play. As adults, we don’t get enough play in our routine. So pole feels like not just that my body is working hard but it’s also fun, and engages my mind as I try and learn techniques, or turns off my mind when I freestyle flow.”
