PARENTS!!!!

It’s okay to admit you were wrong. It’s okay to try something else, another team, another organization, another sport, and realize that wasn’t what was best for your kid. Own it and move on. Don’t continue to move your kid around when you know right where they really belong is the place you left. Get rid of your ego. Get rid of your stubbornness and put your kid where they need to be. With the teammates they need to be around. With the coaches they need to have coach them. In the sport that they love most.

So often I see kids leave their best opportunity, not because they didn’t earn it or deserve it, but because their parents have gotten in the way. It’s okay to ask “can we come back”? If it’s the right fit, they will welcome you back with open arms. Anywhere you leave, you should leave on good terms because you never know when you’ll wake up one day and realize, you left the best thing that ever happened to your kid. It’s okay to cross bridges, just don’t burn them to the ground. A team should be picked in this order:

1. Best for my kid and their development
2. Best for my family and our lifestyle
3. Best for our financial situation (many teams have ways to help with this).
4. Tournament locations/sanctions …
5-99. Everything else
100. Organization name
101. “National/Elite/Gold/United/Showcase/blah-blah” in the team name

Proud of this crew! They overcame injuries, a late night, an early morning, Texas heat, and so much more adversity. The come from behind wins were so fun to watch! Keep your eye on this squad, more great things to come. I just know it! ❤️🩵💙

100+ Heat 🥵, 8 Games 🥎, and a solid 3rd🥉place finish in the gold bracket for these girls this weekend. Some good things were seen and some areas where we can improve, but all in all it was a fun one!

Such exciting news that USFA is coming to Central Texas to make their presence known! For those in the softball world who don’t know, Zorn is an unbelievable complex in San Marcos, turf with great concessions and lots of shade! Everyone in the area should sign up for this tournament. Free sanction! Free jerseys for every team! And the winner in each age group gets free entry to all USFA local events for the rest of the Fall?! Let’s support a new sanction coming to town and get at least five teams in each age group! (No, I do not get paid by USFA. I am just over playing 60 minute games and eight game guarantee is that mean nothing in other sanctions locally 🙄🥴).
