Two to three workouts a week is enough. Everyone selling you more is selling you burnout.
After coaching busy professionals through this exact thing, here's what I've noticed: the ones who stay in shape long-term aren't always training five or six days a week.
They've built a floor - a minimum they hit even in their worst weeks - and they protect that floor no matter what.
More isn't the answer when your schedule is already maxed out. A system you can actually keep is.
Remember this for the week your schedule falls apart.

We're so proud of Steve and thankful to be a part of his journey! Let's give Steve a shoutout below and show him how proud we are of him!
Steve started at XRP a few months before he turned 65 - and the guy who couldn't do a single push-up doesn't recognize who shows up now.
Before he walked in, getting out of a chair was hard. Putting on his own socks was a challenge. He hadn't done a push-up in years.
That wasn't okay with him. So he made a change.

It's not the workouts alone that keep him coming back - it's the people.

Now, at 66, Steve does push-ups without thinking twice. He squats in the gym. He bends over and picks things up with no effort.
If you're standing where he was standing - nervous to even start - here's what he'd tell you:โฃ

If youโre sleeping 7 hours and still waking up exhausted. Thatโs not a sleep problem - it could be a sleep quality problem.
Hereโs the one thing most people skip: the 90 minutes before bed matter more than the 8 hours after. Not because of โsleep hygieneโ in the abstract - because of one specific mechanism. Bright light and screens in that window suppress melatonin release, so even if you fall asleep on time, you spend more of the night in lighter sleep stages instead of deep sleep. You clock the hours. You donโt get the recovery.
The fix: at whatever time youโd normally start winding down, dim the lights in the room youโre in - actually switch off the overheads, not just your phone brightness. If youโre on a screen, thatโs the one to drop first, phone included.
Try it tonight. One room, dimmed, 90 minutes before you actually want to be asleep.

Warning: if you're foggy by 2pm and blaming your workload, check your water first.
Save this - the fix is one window, not an all-day project.

You're not a beginner. You're rebuilding โ and that means training with a different number than either extreme.
Come back after a long break and you'll be tempted to either lift what you used to lift, or start over completely like you've never touched a weight.
Neither fits where you actually are.
The number that works: 60% of your last known working weight.
Used to squat 185? Start at 115. Add 10% every two weeks if it feels clean โ not every session.
Your body remembers the movement pattern fast. It's the load capacity that lags behind, and that gap is exactly where people get hurt in week one.
That's the whole plan for your first two weeks back.
Nothing fancier โ just the right number, held long enough to actually rebuild the capacity underneath it.

You think exercise has to look like a workout.
Next time you've got a call where you don't need your hands or your screen the whole time - take it on your feet instead of in your chair. Around the block, up and down the hallway, wherever works. That's the whole move.
Look at tomorrow's calendar right now.
Find one block like that. Take it standing or walking instead of sitting.
Not a workout - a swap.
Follow along all month - new ones every week.
You think you have a willpower problem. You actually have a 4pm problem.
Willpower drains like a battery, all day, with every decision - what to wear, what to answer first, what to say in the meeting you didn't want.
By late afternoon it's low, and "should I move today" becomes one decision too many. Your brain takes the exit.
That's not weak. That's just a tired brain at 4pm.
Here's the fix: decide before you're tired enough to talk yourself out of it.
Real example - say you close your laptop most days around 4:30. Tonight, write this down: "At 4:30, when I close my laptop, I put my shoes on and walk to the mailbox and back before I do anything else." That's it.
Two minutes, round trip. The size doesn't matter - the decision being already made does.
Pick your own trigger - something that already happens every day at a predictable time - and attach one small action to it.
Write it tonight, not tomorrow morning when you're already deciding sixty other things.
That's the mindset piece. Curious which of the 7 pillars is actually costing you the most right now? Fit Finder Quiz - link in bio.

Missing a day was never the thing that set you back.
I've done it myself - written off a whole week over one skipped workout, like the entire thing only counts if it's perfect.
Here's the part nobody says out loud: consistency was never about not missing. It's about what you do next.
And I've learned this the hard way.
So if you want to build something that lasts, here's the one rule to hold onto - never miss twice.
And to be clear, this isn't me telling you to work out every single day. It's the opposite. This runs off the plan you already have.
Say you've got two workouts on the calendar this week and life takes one of them - that's fine, it costs you nothing. The rule is just this: don't let the second one go too.
One skipped session is a blip. Two in a row is how a blip quietly turns into a month off.
That's the whole game. Not perfect. Just never two.
You're not starting over. You're one decision away from still being in it.
The nutrition habit that changes your entire afternoon. And the one working against you.

One habit to build. One habit to break.
Eat something real within the first hour of your day. Not a perfectly tracked breakfast. Just something - protein, fat, or both. A couple of eggs. Greek yogurt. Leftovers from last night. Your body has been fasting for 7โ8 hours and it needs fuel before you ask it to perform. This single habit changes your afternoon more than anything else you could do.
Eating nothing all day and wondering why you overeat at night. That's not a discipline problem โ that's your body responding exactly as designed to a day of deprivation. Stop trying to be stronger than biology. Start fueling earlier.
That's the Method Minute.
The system works even when you don't feel like it does.
You keep showing up even when it doesn't feel like it's working. This place is built exactly for you!
Not the person who has it figured out.
Not the person who's already consistent and just needs a program to follow.
The person who has tried. More than once. Who keeps coming back to the idea that they could feel better, move better, have more energy - even when the evidence isn't there yet.
That person is exactly who the Momentum Method was built for.
Because here's what I know after years of coaching real people through real seasons:โฃ
The people who ultimately build something sustainable are not the most talented or the most athletic or the most disciplined.
They're the ones who refuse to let a hard season be the final word.
June is almost done. If you showed up this month - even imperfectly, even partially, even just by following along - that counts. That's the system working.
July is coming. And the professionals who are going to be different in six months are the ones making a decision right now.
If that's you - comment GOALS below. I'll personally send you how we build this together at XRP, and you decide from there. July's the on-ramp. This is where it starts.
