Good morning! We want to give a shoutout to Joe Vize - he stopped in last night and made a generous donation. This past Saturday, he ensured riders were staying hydrated and put out a can to collect free-will offerings for the Coop. Even better than the monetary donation was when he told us, “I believe in what you all are doing.”

🚲 FREE Bike Safety Program for Middle Schoolers!

BikeWise: Street Smart Cycling is a FREE 4-day program for students entering grades 6–8 designed to build confidence, independence, and real-world biking skills!

Participants will start riding in safe, off-street spaces and work up to short, guided rides using bike lanes, trails, and streets. Along the way, they’ll learn important safety skills while discovering biking as a fun and practical way to get around.

Spots are free! This is a great way for kids to build confidence and learn to ride safely around town. 🚴

As Iowa welcomes thousands of cyclists for RAGBRAI, drivers are reminded to stay alert and share the road safely.

While RAGBRAI brings increased bicycle traffic for one week each year, bicycles are a year-round form of low-cost transportation for many members of our community. Individuals experiencing homelessness often rely on bicycles to travel to work, food pantries, shelters, medical appointments, and other essential services.



A little awareness and courtesy go a long way in keeping everyone safe. Let's make Iowa's roads welcoming for RAGBRAI riders and for the community members who depend on bicycles every day.
