People often come into the Coop looking for parts for their bike. Sometimes people come in looking for parts for… other projects. Be creative. Be a problem solver.

A huge THANK YOU to the Dubuque Bicycle Club for their very generous donation to support our voucher bike program! This will help those in need get reliable transportation
Howdy, folks! While we'll be creating an official event in the next day or so, we wanted to give you all a heads up that we'll be holding our first (hopefully) monthly New Volunteer Recruitment and Orientation next Wednesday, 29 April, at the Coop starting around 6pm. We'll talk through our mission, operation and ways to get involved. Hope to see you there! Please share far and wide.

We also have various roof top options. Stop by and check them out! Currently open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays form 6pm to 8pm.

FYI
This bill was meant to regulate e-bikes.
What it actually does is regulate everyone who isn’t in a car.
HSB 637 was introduced on Jan 28th as a “safety” and “device regulation” bill. But the actual language goes way further - impacting bikes, strollers, wheelchairs, scooters, skateboards, delivery riders, commuters, gravel cyclists… and even events like RAGBRAI.
🚫 Roads over 25 mph? Off limits.
🚫 Class 3 e-bikes? Effectively banned.
🚫 Commuting on neighborhood collector streets? Illegal.
🚫 Scooters or mobility devices in small towns? Effectively Illegal.
🚫 Bike delivery? Illegal.
🚫 Bike races and large rides? Suddenly complicated - or worse.
This isn’t a bike bill.
It’s a sweeping rewrite of who is allowed to use Iowa’s roads and trails - and most people don’t realize it yet.
We dug into what the bill was meant to do vs. what it actually says

No action needed yet... the Iowa Bicycle Coalition has their pulse on this bill and will be watching it closely.
