Miners Nation, the road to the 2026 MWUF Championship is officially set.

With Round 1 just three days away, here’s a look at the complete 2026 MWUF Playoff Bracket.

🏈 Round 1 – Saturday, August 1
#3 Illinois Cowboys vs. #6 River City Rough Riders
#4 Midwest Renegades vs. #5 Dubuque Miners

The top two seeds, the Racine Raiders and St. Paul Pioneers, earned first round byes and will host the advancing teams on August 8.

The regular season is behind us. Everything from this point forward has to be earned.

Our journey continues Saturday in Bloomington as we take on the Midwest Renegades in Round 1 of the MWUF Playoffs.

Your Dubuque Miners have earned the #5 seed in the 2026 MWUF Playoffs and will hit the road this Saturday, August 1, for a first round matchup against the Midwest Renegades.

One year ago, this organization finished its inaugural season 1-7. Today, through the dedication of our players, coaches, board of directors, volunteers, sponsors, and the incredible support of this community, we’re playing postseason football!

This is another step in the journey of building something Dubuque can be proud of, and we’re not finished yet!

We’ll have full game day details, including kickoff time, location, and ways to follow the action, coming in the days ahead.

RAGBRAI is rolling through Dubuque, and Miners Nation is ready to welcome the riders!

Be sure to swing into our community partner, Dog House Lounge, from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM to cheer on the RAGBRAI athletes as they make their way toward the river to complete their journey across Iowa!!

Following the parking lot party, members of the Dubuque Miners will be volunteering from 4:00–7:00 PM along Kerper Boulevard to help clean up after the event.

We are proud to support our community partners, welcome thousands of visitors to Dubuque, and do our part to leave the city better than we found it.

Saturday didn’t end the way we wanted it to.

Credit to the Racine Raiders for a well played football game.

As we head into a bye week, our focus is simple: getting healthy, taking care of our players, and preparing for the opportunity that’s still in front of us.

Regardless of what happens next, we’re incredibly proud of what this team has accomplished this season. A year after finishing 1-7, this group earned an 8-3 regular season, a playoff berth, and gave our community something to rally behind every Saturday night.

Thank you to every fan, sponsor, volunteer, coach, and player who has been part of this journey.

We’ll take this week to recover, regroup, and be ready for what comes next.
