Loras Men and Women Crowned American Rivers Conference Indoor Track & Field Champions for Second Straight Year STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Loras College men and women capture team titles at the 2023 American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Duhawk Day is coming up, consider giving to the track and field program so maybe we can put drainage and not have Lake Faber this spring! Then we can bring back the alumni meet!

2 All Conference Men in weight throw and 1 Champion in the Women’s Weight Caitlyn Cox set a new meet record is and #2 in NCAA DIII with a throw of 18.77m!

After last night both weight records are now over 18m and Holden Murphy (JR) is ranked #6 and Caitlyn Cox (FR) is ranked #7! Going to be an exciting 3 weeks left of indoor!

Both Weight records now belong to current Duhawks! Junior Holden Murphy improved his own school record by tossing 18.12m to put him 14th in NCAA D3 and Freshman Caitlyn Cox tossed 17.89m to put her 5th in NCAA D3!

ICYMI- Jr Holden Murphy broke the 10yr old weight record yesterday throwing 17.69m
FR Caitlyn Cox almost took down a defending national champion in weight yesterday getting her #4 on the top 10 list throwing 17.24m!

If you haven’t paid attention to Duhawk throws lately…you probably should. could be the best throws group in the ARC and Top 10 in NCAA DIII!

Schedule for Saturdays Indoor a season opener at St. Ambrose. Excited to see what this group does. This group now includes 5 athletes who were on the podium in their respective states, 2 being state champion shotputters. Our upperclassmen have also seen a lot of progress during training. Could finally see some school records drop this year

Finally finished. With the help of some sprinters and the throwers we have officially upgraded. Next project will be hopefully drain tile to help with the spring flooding and hoping to replace or resurface the concrete next year…even if I have to do those projects myself too. Stop by the new area during homecoming to see everything we’ve added during the last year. Big things happening with Duhawk Throws.
