A little check in from your Happy Ho**er crew…
We’ve had a great December scratching the itch to be outside. My wife MacKenzie proved I wasn’t lying when I said she outfishes me.😆 Justin and Lucas got ahold of some sweet sturgeon. And they even experienced a little beaver trapping!
We hope you all have had a good holiday season, and have a Happy New Years! Our calendar is up for the 2026 season, and Justin and Lucas are excited to be back as an excellent crew.

And that’s a WRAP❗️ A much overdue post due to the quick transition into school mode for Justin, Lucas, and me.
The Happy Ho**er had another fantastic season on the water. Fishing was a lot of fun this year, with a really steady bite for most of the season. But most of all, it was great to see so many of you again. We had lots of regulars who knew how to make it a blast, and a great deal of first-timers as well. Thanks to everyone who came out! We really appreciate it! Our calendar is open for next year🎣

The past few days have been nothing short of fantastic. Great fishing, great people, and great laughs. We’re a little over a week out from the end of our season, and we’re soaking up every day of this fun fishing!

It’s hard to believe the 2025 season is almost over for Justin, Lucas, and I. It’s been an amazing summer filled with great people and outstanding fishing, and the past few weeks have been no exception. We’ve seen some of the best fishing in the Duluth area this season!

Capt. Justin and Lucas have been killing! Yesterday Brant and the guys came out with him and put a beat down on the cohos and lake trout. The crew believed their fried chicken snacks were the luck behind it all!🍗🐔
