The days you don't feel like it? Those are the ones that actually count. Anyone can push hard when they're fired up. The real work happens when you're tired, distracted, or just not feeling it. and you show up anyway. That's not motivation. That's a skill. And it gets easier the more you practice it.
Most people walk into their first session expecting to feel ready. They don't. And that's exactly the point. The first few sessions at Ferris Fitness aren't about peak performance. They're about your body and brain starting to map the movements. Squats, presses, leg work. the patterns get cleaner each time you repeat them. By session three, the room feels familiar. By session five, you stop second-guessing the setup. Personalized programming helps because you're not guessing what to do next. Your trainer already knows where you are and what comes after. The shift isn't dramatic. It's quiet and consistent. and that's what actually sticks.

Save this the next time you are standing in the gym wondering how many sets to do. The rep range you train in shapes the result you get. They are not interchangeable.
For maximal strength, keep reps low (1 to 5), sets high (4 to 6), and rest long enough to recover between efforts. The load should be heavy and the quality should stay sharp. For muscle growth, the 6 to 12 rep range is where most people see the most return.
Use a weight that makes the last 2 reps genuinely hard. Three to four sets per exercise is usually enough when effort is honest. For muscular endurance, push the reps higher (15 to 20+), reduce the load, and keep rest periods shorter.
This builds the capacity to repeat work over time. None of these ranges work without progressive overload.
Track what you lift, add a little over time, and the range does its job. Your Ferris Fitness trainer can build this into a customized program so the numbers always match where you are right now.
When was the last time your training was actually built for YOU? ๐ค

the weeks where nothing feels like it's working. You're not plateauing. You're in the middle. That part is supposed to feel slow. Keep showing up anyway. The boring reps count more than people think.

Logging sessions is a good habit. But the way most people track is giving them a false picture of where they actually stand. First, effort without structure is just noise.
If every session is a different exercise, different rep count, and different order, there is no baseline to measure against. Second, bodyweight alone is a poor scoreboard. Water, sleep, and stress all move that number daily.
It tells you almost nothing about body composition on its own. Third, skipping 3D body scanning means you are guessing.
Precise measurements of muscle and fat distribution show what the scale never will. Fourth, tracking without a customized program means you are optimizing for the wrong variables.
Progress is specific to your goal, not a generic template. The Ferris Fitness app pairs your session data with body scan results so the picture is actually accurate.
