Metro Atlanta enjoys 4 distinct seasons - although our winters tend to be mild in comparison. The National Oceanic & Atmopspheric Administration (NOAA) reports that the change from "La Nina" to an "El Nino" weather pattern has a history of producing some significant winter storms in the southern states. According to the Farmer's Almanac, the winter of 2023-2024 is expected to be wet, with above-normal precipitation & snowfall for the Southeast, including Georgia. The best chances for snow occur in late January & mid-February. Get ready for some snow!❄️ ☃️ Of course, frosty weather does not last long here so we will have many beautiful winter days to play golf and enjoy outside activities. 🌞 ⛳

In 2024, Pantone celebrates the 25th Anniversary of their Color of the Year program. Pantone 13-1023 Peach Fuzz is a cozy and tactile shade. Pantone suggests using the hue on a wall or surface to to create an environment that feels warm and inviting. Alternatively, it can act as accent within a pattern. No matter its application, its gentle tone and all-embracing spirit is intended to enrich the mind, body and soul.

The Sun Belt is poised for the strongest residential real estate growth in the United States according to the 2024 Emerging Trends in Real Estate report, released jointly by PwC and the Urban Land Institute every year. Based on thousands of surveys and hundreds of personal interviews, the annual report provides an in-depth real estate outlook for the U.S. and Canada. Hybrid work is growing in popularity which is driving more growth in the suburbs. John Burns Research & Consulting estimates that the suburbs captured 87% of net growth between 2015 to 2022, as remote and hybrid workers shift out of big cities and forgo the typical office.

2024 is looking strong for Metro Atlanta home sellers. Mortgage rates are beginning to decline which will drive up demand. More people continue to move to Atlanta from markets with higher prices. Inventory remains historically low. The conclusion: Home values will continue to remain strong. Home Buyers need to move fast as prices will continue to rise!

We will be "falling back" from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time on Sunday morning at 2am.🕑 Remember to change your clocks.⏰ This is also a good time to change your batteries in smoke alarms!🔋 Georgia is among 19 states that have passed laws to remain permanently on Daylight Savings Time. Gov. Kemp indeed signed Senate Bill 100 that went into effect in July 2021. However, this only becomes effective if the United States Congress amends 15 U.S.C. Section 260a to authorize states to observe Daylight Savings Time year round. The Sunshine Protection Act was proposed in 2022 but has not yet passed in Congress. The Uniform Time Act of 1966 does allow specific states to opt out of changing to Daylight Saving Time in the spring. Arizona and Hawaii are the two states that have done this already. Confusing much! 😵 Going forward, most states will be choosing to change to Daylight Savings Time and stay there. So for now, we are falling back! What will you do with that extra hour? 😉 ⠀
