If you haven’t heard, S/V Tweety completed the 2026 Race to Alaska this week! With an official (?) time of 7d 11h 55m, Tweety, aka Team Minnesorta Nice, placed 6th overall and 5th in monohull in a field of nearly 70 vessels! The crew was made up of 4 DYC members: Bob Schroer, Melissa K***z, Nick Rorem, and Greg Rohde. Skipper Bob says, “Brutual conditions, especially at the end. But also fun!”

We can’t wait to hear the stories upon your return to Duluth! We are so proud of you!

The 750 mi race is still very much happening - at the time of this post 50 boats are still out there!

Yesterday evening, the weekly sailboat race took place just outside the canal. Clouds eventually moved in and took over the sky, but the distinctive red roof of the South Pier Lighthouse brought the color.
