Chehalem Valley Sportsman Club We are a private club with 6 pistol bays and a 100 yard range with 6 benches. We have USPSA matches We reach our membership capacity every year.

We are a private, membership only, fi****ms training facility. We have 6 pistol bays, 2 pistol shooting lanes, and a 100 yard range with 6 shooting benches. Renewals start in October and any open spots become open to new members on December 15. We have IPSC matches (which are open to the public) on the fourth Saturday of every month. We also have a youth program, a woman's day, Appleseed events, and other special activities. We have workdays twice a year. Shoot straight and shoot often,

Rifle Deck is Now OPEN!

The CVSC board is pleased to announce our new, improved rifle deck is finished and ready for use!

What was done and the benefits to you as a CVSC member:

Replaced the several decade old, aging and falling apart rifle deck with a larger and more sturdy structure.

The new structure has more space between the shooting benches and rear rifle racks, allowing easier passage behind a shooter.

Replaced the old collapsing metal culvert under the road with a larger concrete culvert.

Widened the culvert road crossing, allowing more parking and an easier turnaround area.

Added erosion control and widened the pathway behind the rifle deck.

Cleared and leveled out the parking areas along the road leading to the rifle deck

General brush cleanup from the pistol bays to the rifle deck.

Important Things to Know
PLEASE READ!

The 100 yard target has been restructured. The posts are sunk in sleeves and protected by steel plates. Avoid shooting the posts.

Enter and exit through the rear door. (Watch your step)

Parking area: 1) Do not back in to spaces 2) The gravel is loose -- if you spin your tires, fill in the hole 3) Do not park in the handicapped space unless you have a placard

Care for the new mats (including new prone mat). No cleaning solvents.

Trash: Take out what you bring in

Respect our new range. Misuse of the rifle range may cause temporary closure.

This improvement is result of many (volunteer) hours of work from our board members. When you see them, please thank them.

If anyone is available for a workday on Monday August 17th, we could use a few people to help us get the rifle deck ready to reopen, building, shooting benches, and putting the rifle racks up. Starting at 9 A.M.

This is a reminder that the range clean up day is tomorrow, May 29. Please come help if you are available. The range will be closed during clean up!

Also, the range will be closed next weekend on June 5,6,7 all day for the G***k Match and set up. Come watch or volunteer. We can still use help for the match.
